11 different or two sets of 6?

Btw, don't know if this has been mentioned but the Ranger Scout has the best ball jointed head ever - he can look every which way which is great.

Also, noticed the camo German has a shovel - entrenching tool - with peg but not sure where it goes - suggestions?
Should have been more specific. Same six as everyone else, two of each except the tank commander.

Here's what I've found in my recons of the Houston area lately. Only two stores even have the halftracks and Paks. None of the new figures have shown up yet, but I have seen several stores very recently restock the BOB2 guys. Also, we have several stores that got over 20 plus Avengers each, all at $70 except for one which had them for $45.

Finally, the most annoying thing is that alot of the Houston stores got both the S1 and S2 Migs, which have sold very well. Unfortunately, instead of replacing the sold Migs with Sabres, we get P-51 Undertakers and F-104 Smoke. These two planes have already been through here before the Migs. I just want a freakin' Sabre! :x Not a second or even third restock of the same plane. Now I have to wait for these to sell before I have any chance of seeing the Sabre.

Funny, we have yet to see any Sabres or Migs here. We are now JUST getting Bunker Hill Corsairs and Stukas. Hilarious!

The bunker hill corsairs have dissappeared here; there are still mediterr-stukas to be found on occasion. The last silver f-104 just went a couple of weeks ago (I frequent 7-8 walmarts regularly). There are still leftover NK migs to be found as well as generous amounts of avengers, squich f-86s, german and camo 104s, and new shipments of chinese migs.

Lest we forget maybe Santa and the Island of Misfit Toys can find homes for the rest of the 109 nightfighters and the occasional fw-190d9

Pleased to report that between two of my local WMs I've picked up six of the new figures today.

Hit 4 Wal-Marts in Broward County last night after attending a Christmas party. I did not get home till 3:00 am.

I scored (can you believe this) a mint series 2 British corsair in the correct old box. Wal-Mart must have found some old stock.

I saw a mint Langley P-40

I also picked up the Series 2 Mig-15 (Chinese tiger stripe)

And I finally found some of the new 1:32 aircraft listed below:

Series 3 Stuka (yellow nose)
Series 4 Stuka (A5+IL)
Series 4 Corsair (108)
A new desert P-40 with KJN markings

What a great way to end the day……

:D :D :D
One hundred and fifty three - 1:18 scale aircraft on the ceiling looks  damn good!

He did say he was out late

Nothing much new in my area in 1:18. Some BoB figure restocks, restocks of old RC vehicles, various ME-109Gs, Stukas, & Corsairs. The Migs and F-86s, newly stocked a couple weeks ago disappeared quickly! I haven't been to the two stores further afield that had the new armor (and generally the best overall selection) to see what's left.

Going to Wal Marts this time of year is a trying experience. I just want to get in and out and its amazing how slow and stupidly the masses move through the store... I must have had 4-5 people nearly run me down with their cart because they weren't paying the slightest bit of attention to where they were going and the people blocking the narrow isles to hold a conversation was just plain rude :?

Just got myself an ME-109 today at Walmart! So now I have my DWK Spit chasing it down going for the kill. My other German planes are sitting on the shelf looking all pretty.

I have two Walmart stories over a FW-190D-9 number 12

1. Yesterday I hit a WM where I've been eyeing the 190 because she was missing her pilot and the package had been pretty beat up. About a month ago one of the managers opened it up for me to see if the pilot was stuck somewhere in the package. She said she couldnt go down in price as it was damaged and she had to take it back to the bin to ship it back to the manufacture. I passed the the 190 went on home - or so I thought.

Two evenings later - there she was - back in the same spot.

A month passed and finally I had chance to speak with a different manager. She said the same thing about needing to take it to the back "in order to take it back to the line" I stated it is just going to be back on the shelf in a few days. No sir our policy is to ship damaged goods back. I asked if I could buy the 190 for $20.00. I was told I could have it for 20% off. Still would have cost $31 after tax. I asked how come I had purchased another plane and was given 50% discount by another manager (same store) deshawnta (name changed to protect Walton)
grew an attitude and told me the discount was up to whatever the manager thought it should be and offered me 20%. 190 with missing pilot went back to the bin.

that was last night.

Today
Different WM
I find a different 190 (number 12) with a pilot and walk it to the price scanner.
..beep... $19.97
An employee walks by and i ask if i can get any extra discount 'as it is already on clearance. I was told that the home office sets the clearance price and she has no control over that but i can have an extra 10% off..

Very nice - One of the 20 MM cannons is bent - what is the best way to straighten it. im afraid if i try it will snap.
The two WM are only 10 miles from one another - I was told the clearance is set up regionally which is why the different WM can have different prices on the same item.

So far I have learned from speaking with different managers from 4 different WM's:
Managers can only take up to $10.00 an item it it is broken
Broken items must be taken to the bin for shipment back to the manufacture.
I can get 10% off a broken item
I can get 20% off broken item (daid two different times.)
I can get item 50% off if broken.
And
The amount of the discount is up to the mood of the manager.
(I think this is the more honest answer)

I sense a Book of Walton chapter here... What do you say, Stuka?

think the WM secret police force will be coming for you any time now Stuka.

Theres no such thing as discounts at any of my friendly area Walmarts. There could just be one of the landing gear left in the box and they wouldn't give you one!

There is clearly a pattern of some kind. How else would so many of us find the $22 vehicles marked down to $13.

That being said, it's also clear that the execution of the pattern is very inconsistent. Perhaps due to independent thinking (my XD sells pretty well so I don't need to do discount it..) or sloppiness (Ultimate what?.. )...

The best person to speak with is the actual store manager (their name and phone number are printed on your receipt). Since they do the main ordering, they would probably most appreciate the fact that by purchasing the crapped out 109, you are removing a bottleneck to them getting new product (and therefore sales).

One of us (if someone hasn't done so already) should try for a part time job there and go under cover.. :D

Well we are all aware of the 'policies' (HAHA) at Wally so I don't need to add my experiences, but I'm not feeling very well today so I'll put in my 2 cents. I've been told, and have experienced, by different employees at the same stores, that the only discount ANY employee can take - managers included - is 10% and this is universal - everything from a slightly damaged box to a crushed, missing parts heap of junk. Basically, all you have to do is ask for the discount and if you can point out any problem with he merchandise, you're more than likely to get the discount. On the other hand we all are aware of higher discounts regularly given. Also, I have seen merchandise on the shelves for months that is clearly broken into, missing parts, damaged, etc that is NEVER reduced or removed to 'send back". In fact, recently there was a Wally that moved from one of the older small stores into a new Super Center. Months before the move some kid had felt the need to spit a wad of gum onto the card of an XD figure. It sat on the peg until the move, when all remaining merchandise at the old store was packed and moved to the new store. Shortly after the grand opening, I stopped by thinking they might have stocked with new XD. There, on the front of the peg, was the same spit-gum figure. It had to have been seen and handled by at least a couple Wally employees, and not one thought this MIGHT be something a customer wouldn't want, and remove it from the sales floor. It is so ridiculous it's beyond unbelievable. It's still there as far as I know.

My favorite was a M113 that had been on clearance for $20 for months. I go into the Walmart one day and find it with the clearance tag removed. The clear plastic window was completely gone, both figures' heads were missing, and so were most of the packs on the side. It rang up for $40. So, I ask the manager about it (amazingly, they were in the area), explaining all the damage and the previous clearance stuff, and they said I could have it for $35.

This same thing happened here in Virginia. A local WM had two R/C M113 on clearance for weeks @ $19.00 (undamaged) and then one day they went back up to $40. Is this a new concept for WM? A Reverse Sale? "New Higher Price!"

One of the M113's older motorworks version was down to $25.00 and it is back up to $49.99 - someone should remove those crappy figures.

Found the new D-Day figure assortment in the Clovis, Ca Wal Mart today! This is the same assortment with the two Germans and 4 US figures (2 Infantry & 2 Tankers) that has shown up elsewhere. They are great looking figures, and the US troops come with some neat accessories, but the BBI D-day figures still have the edge in my book

Bet you'll see them very soon! We're usually way behind everyone else here, but not this time. WM seems to be bringing out anything they can before Christmas.
