POST ALL 21st CENTURY WALMART FINDS HERE
Well, I sent my Mk IVD out on recon yesterday and I had a lot of fun!! I'm not usually much into RC tanks, but I had the thing on the neighbor's lawn while I was inside my house. I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard. I had it fit through a gap in the bushes to head on back. Those things are really capable! So, the RC portion of the tank is a really nice added benefit without loss of detail. Not too shabby. I'm just happy I invested in rechargable batteries a long time ago!

Yet another example of bladder control issues. Hmm, we may need to start selling 1:18 scale Depends!Teamski wrote:Well, I sent my Mk IVD out on recon yesterday and I had a lot of fun!! Glad you like it! I was not much of an RC fan before gettin the Panzer IV H and the M113, but these are really just too cool! As you noted, they do have an exceptional range... I once ran my panzer in a large empty lot near my house and was able to still control the tank while it was over 300 ft away. You could barely see itTeamski wrote:Well, I sent my Mk IVD out on recon yesterday and I had a lot of fun!! I found The Flying Undertaker at WM and sure enough the prop blades were bent back. I know some of you have fixed them, but I don't want to risk ruining a $40 toy while trying to fix the blades even though I know they would drive me nuts as is. My question, is there a new Mustang in the works and if so what is the ETA? I'm hoping that the prop issue will be fixed, so I will hold off on buying a 21st Mustang until then.

No such thing as clearence for XD in any of my local WM. They just let it rot on the shelf forever leaving no room for new items. Even if the box has been busted into and figures, parts, etc are broken or missing it's still full price. I think all the managers flunked basic business skills class back in highschool.

Saw eight Mitch's Squitch Sabres at one local WM. They also had the 32x Opal Blitz truck and the German halftrack truck. The WM in town had six Avengers, one each of the new armor, five short barrel PZIV RC tanks and a whole set of BotB series two figures.
I went home with a Sabre and the two 32x trucks. Lucky day.

Quite a day today - my work brought me to Auburn NY, which has my favorite WM. Over the last four years, this store has been light years better as a source for 21C than any others within a day's drive of here.
Today the shelves were piled with new 1:32 Stukas (2 paint schemes), 1:32 Corsairs (2 paints), 1:18 Avengers, and the 1:18 short gun r/c Panzer. No new figures yet, though.
I'd been looking for the tank, so walked out with one of those (I plan to gut the r/c out of it, as I don't care about that) plus one each of 1:32 Stuka and Corsair. Was sorely tempted by the Avenger, but I'm still holding out for a repaint.

Ahh, the fun of distribution.....
Saw the new D-Day figures in Kingman, AZ this weekend. Kingman! Wasn't too fond of the dark washes on the figures, so I didn't get any. Then, finally got me a Chinese MiG in Vegas. So, I'm good for a while.

Btw, don't know if this has been mentioned but the Ranger Scout has the best ball jointed head ever - he can look every which way which is great.
Also, noticed the camo German has a shovel - entrenching tool - with peg but not sure where it goes - suggestions?

Re: fig
Well, don't go by what they left. Look at the photo's from the period. They were very organized and disciplined. Unless something unusual is found, go with what was the norm for the period. Cut the peg off and use clear silicon sealer to put it in place. I've done this and it has caused no probs if it needs to be removed.digger wrote:My guy doesn't have a hole there.Left cheekI just have the two holes on the beltline for the pack.
I do hate it when they do this, I've many items that I now have as extra just because the manufactures don't plan that much ahead to make sure that what they include has a place.
Regards

Well, I have an issue with his head. His hairdo makes it impossible to put his helmet on correctly.digger wrote:11 different or two sets of 6?rmoore456 wrote:Found the new D-Day figures at the Bloomington, Illinois Walmart today. Only 11 I wonder which one got away!

As with the past figures, there are a few holes that are incorrect on the new D-Day figures. I.E., the U.S. canteen holes are in the wrong spot(too high). This hole will not be used and a new one will be made with my trusty Dremel. Teamski, with the issue of the "Bison Head" with his God aweful hairdo, I think that your best bet is to use a 1/18 Dragon helmet because they are a little more generous. Like almost all 21st items, all these figure need and will get some altering and customizing and are a great starting point.

Use some elbow grease and pinch the helmet; I got it down pretty low and he's going to keeping it on until the war is over.Well, I have an issue with his head. His hairdo makes it impossible to put his helmet on correctly.
