I found it and yes that is a really high. As I mentioned before you can almost buy a skyworks plane for what people are selling 21st planes for.

Greetings

I really wanted that one because of my closeness to proximity to McGuire AFB but it's been too high to buy from anyone. Had to settle for Cal Cutie instead :(

Yep -- that was me. When I first started surfing about 1:18 relatively recently, I started to think the supply would be so short I wouldn't be able to get my hands on a P-38 at anything under $200+. The prices at the etailers was what finally pushed me to take the plunge and get set up to buy on eBay. The plane I got today was the third P-38 I had bid on.

I can't wait for it to arrive!

I always wanted a P-38 but wanted to get 'others' first to see if I had room for it later. Kinda glad I did wait because I ran out of room, but I still would like to have one ... but the prices now are about half of a Tamiya tank. :(

Same here. I also got my S1 P-38. Funny how plentiful those planes were even a few years ago.

No listings for P-51s on MD. Must be a long line of customs coming or people are stocking up.....

MD's inventory is like a merry-go-round. You never know what is coming around the circle.

No kidding! Since I got bitten by the bug and then turned on to MD from reading this forum, MD's site has begun one of my main "nervous click" sites -- I hit it throughout the day while I'm working. A couple of hours or so ago I noticed they were down to 262 NFs and the two MiG varieties. Then, a different P-51 than the ones they'd had before and one of the "Bermuda Triangle" Avengers appeared. I tried the "999" trick I saw here and the site said they only had one. The rpice was better than what's been going on eBay, so I got it. Sure enough, after the purchase, it disappeared from their 1/18 planes page.

So what gives? I can see an occasional trader exhibiting a pattern like this -- one item that suddenly appears on a Sunday afternoon -- but how is this happening with MD?

This is truly a sign that 21C is dead. I am disappointed MD has created their own "Private Reserve".

I guess MD saw everyone else making some $$ from 21stC and decided to do the same.
