He he, being the Planes of Fame's photographer, I have all access to airshow aircraft. The A-10s came in the Thursday before the airshow, and I was onhand as they did their overview (aka buzzing the field really low and pulling up almost vertical near the end). After they landed and the crew did the post flight checks I had those two A-10s all to myself! I will post a few more photos tonight (upon request!)..

You are right ! i saw here in France only once an A 10 on an airforce base and it s huge ! !!!!! with these photo i was wondering (knowing the size of my killer P 51 where t o store such an enormous plane !!!!!!!!) with this picture of heritage flight it downed on me that i had to move to a larger flat

xd
I still believe I would buy a couple.
I've seen a few flying over head, I'd like to see one up close. I was at the Dayton Air Show a year ago, I can't remember if there was one out there.
Makes me want one even more.

By the way 217lbs and counting as of this morning.
Jericoeagle1: I've actually gained a pound or two under my strategy to eat a donut a day until a F-4 is produced. I've got a line of credit at my local donut shop. Should be good to go for quite some time, at least until I run out of credit or top out at 850 lbs.

If the A-10 gets produced I'll join you on your Donut diet.vulgarvulture wrote:By the way 217lbs and counting as of this morning.

Slow news week I guess, now the waiting begins again for the next bit of news. I really hate these lulls.
Part of the hobby I suppose.
Whoever voted no on the poll please tell us why not? I'm really interested in knowing if it is because you collect armour only, hate the aircraft etc.

Its not that I'm expecting a "yes" vote from everyone. I'm interested in why someone mighty not be interested hence giving wieght to a manufacturers reason's for not producing the aircraft. Of course someone just may not like aircraft, or they collect one scale exclusively. Someone may like the A-10 but believes the scale is too large and perhaps may best be served in a smaller scale like 1/24 or 1/32.aferguson wrote:why have the option if you don't expect people to vote for it?
