Things like this take a major investment of time and materials, I think Pickle is just trying to help cover those initial costs, which is totally reasonable. If he said he only needs 5, he would only get 5 and everyone else would wait for it to be done, leaving a huge cost for start up cost.

We all love this hobby and when someone as talented and dedicated as Pickle stands up and takes on a project like this I am happy to support him.

24 of you said you want it in some form....

Good question.

Usually I need 10 guys to confirm on a project and I will do it.

The Ho-229 is not a main stream aircraft. It is not a P-51 of which thousands were made and sold by BBI and 21st.

In the past there were a few projects that were very popular ( at the time of my posted polls) and when it went into production the majority of the people who said they were going to get it dissapeard like a goat down a croocked path.

So by doing a money back deposit I hope to gaurantee the 10 guys who want the 229 before I even start.

And yes I will use the deposits to purchase supplies in order to do this project.

But I have money in my pay-pal to cover if anybody wants to back out.

I am not sure but on these larger builds this may be the way to go. Because there is lots of time and money that go into a full build.

I still need 2 more deposits to make this a reality.

It is up to you guys now.

One of our guys have given me 2 deposits, he wants it that much.

So out of 26 who want it, 2 more guys should be able to commit. :D

YESSSSSS............... Great News indeed! Whats next?.... a 1:18th King Tiger from AllGo?

Pickel, just sent another M.O. the one we talked about on Sunday.
I'm looking forward to this flying wing, the 229 has got to be my favorite Aircraft of all time. Thanks Pickel...these are going to be the coolest kits.
After work this afternoon I went to Barnes & Noble and ordered David Myhra's book Horten Ho 9/Ho 229: Retrospective, you can never have to many reference books.

I dont know about you guys but this is what I really want

Don't get me wrong the normal one is cool but this looks so futuristic and out of place in WWII.
Its something about the night fighter paint, the dark somber colors and the radar masts in the nose, its menacing... I really hope this version gets made, and Pickle I will sacrifice my 1/48 scale one if you need it for a guide.

I'm sure Pickelhaube Productions will produce the two seat Nachtjager as a series two kit / full build.
I should say I hope so ......... but I'm not speaking for Pickel, just wishful thinking.

This would be a cool paint scheme....

This is something I'd be interested in, but I have zero expierence, in custom 1:18 aircraft.
What is the final kit price?

I hope not exceed the poll prices. But way to early for firm prices.

I am at least 2 weeks away from starting the project.

Almost exactly 36" for the wing span.

Center section from nose to tail about 16 1/2 " . About 7 " wide.

Wings panels 14 1/2 long.

These are cool :D :D :D
