Your welcome Birddog !!!!

I have worked on the M-10 moulds all day long. It looks like I will have another FULL day at least to get them done.

Mrs Spikes has a lot for me to do on Sunday so I will start back up on Monday.

I am trying my best to get the moulds done. I also will try and get some pre production pours out. Time will tell.

Be advised I am going on vacation on the 16. I will be back on the 1st.

I also was trying to get the prototype out for the Apachee radome but it does not look like it will happen.I will start that and get the pours started for the M-10 when I get back.

This will be the last up date for at least 2 weeks.

I am going on vacation.

We will leave on Thur. morn.

The p-40 wings have been shipped.

The M-10 mould making is going well. Well but slow. Everything is working out very good with no major issues.

I DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH RTV TO MAKE THE M-10,S HULL   :evil

I will try to order more RTV before I get back so that it will be waiting for me. I alsp will have about 3 granite jobs waiting for me to install when I get back.

After I pour the moulds and cast the M-10, I will imediately get on the Sdkfz 222 !!!!

Well I am finally back at it.

All of the M-10s will go out tomorrow.

The UNPAINTED Longbow Radomes will go out on Thur

The Stuka Parts will go out Thur.

The Stuka cannons will go out Thur.

I am still working on the Pavehawk kits . They will probably go out on Tues.

After the Pavey stuff and a few tiny projects I WILL BE DOING THE sDKFZ 222/223.

Then I think that I will do a WW2 airplane.

Untill this survey thing with JSI goes over I am real scared of doing an A-10. I would hate to be in the middel of it and find out that JSI will do one. If that happens I will be screwed.

Well, there was only about 5 guys interested in the Firefly . The M-10 sales were not that I thought that they would be.

Allied armor does not sale like German stuff does. So I have decided to mix things up. Armor then aircraft. German than Allied.

The next project will be the 222. I hope this goes over better . If not I may have to re-evaluate the whole thing.

These things are fun to do. But the resin and RTV are pricy. The way things are going this is a major source of my income. I have tried to do a popular subject time and again and sales are they driving force.

I thought that if I get 5-6 sales I would do a project. Now I need to bump that up to 10. If I can not get 10- 12 confirmed sales I feel that I can not do that project financially. So from now on that will have to be the bench mark.

If I can not reach that bench mark unfortunatley that project will not get done.

There has been a lot of intest in the Sdkfz 222 so as stated before that will be the NEXT project then onto aircraft.

If there is more than 5 guys interested in the Firefly let me know. I was going to do a quickey kit. Parts only , to fit on your turret.

Est cost. $50-$75 let me know and this could be done.

The last of the M-10s are packed and ready to go.

The Reject M-10 packed and waiting for the money order.

Pavehawk minis packed ready to go.

Reject Pavehawk kits packed ready to go

V-1 dolly packed ready to go.

M-113 kits packed ready to go.

The lastest orders of Longbow radomes almost ready. They will go out with the rest of the stuff on Monday.

I will get back on the 222 on Moday and hopefully I will have to progress pics.

To say the least the 222 has been a challange so far.

Hey Guys,

It seems as if I have been chasing my tail lately. I put a bunch of stuff on ebay and had some fair success. it looks like the Stuka cannons were a big hit.

Too bad the molds all but broke down. So I practically had to remake them all.

The last 2 orders of M-10s are poured I just need to touch them up and make the hull hinges and they will be ready to ship.

The wading trunks are all poured and I am painting the last sets. This I am doing the second time. I tried to cheat and not do the primer before the finish paint and it bit me in the keester. Lost about 2 days of work on that. I should know better but....

I will hopefully have EVERYTHING done byt Wensday or Friday. To be shipped then I will get back on the 222.

Hopefully the 222 will be worth the wait for you guys who have ordered it.

After the 222 is done and shipped I will try my hand on that Tropical Spitfire if there is still interest.

I am going to hold off on any more ebay listings because the auctions just slow me down. It is hard when I am on a new project and have to go back and make an " old " one.

Making the old ones are actually were the money is but it is kind of hard to change tracks when you are chugging along.

So hang in there guys I will get this stuff out to you ASAP. :D

Great news , ALL of the 222 kits went out on Monday. The last batch anyway.

The last of the M-10s went out as well.

The built up 222s did not I need a couple more days and they will be on their way.

Same as the last built up M-10.

Any other 222 orders GET THEM IN NOW IF YOU PLEASE.

I have a loooooonnnnnggggg list of commissions that I am ready to start on and there will be a while before I can get back on the 222.

Here is a list of some of my commissions that I will be doing mixed in with other little stuff. These will be " one ofs " unless there is more interst I will make copies.

Let me know.

After I am done I will do the Trop Spit if there is still is an interest.

1. Abrams tow pakage and APU .
2. M4A1 Sherman hull.
3. Panther G
4. Pavehawk window pop ins.
5. Atomic bombs
6. Dodge ambulance ?

I am sure that I forgot a few.

Mixed in with these I have a few repairs and some part copies that I need to get at . These guys have been waiting patiently.

I want to get started on some of these then I will put some of my steady selling projects on e-bay. Stuka cannons and Apachee radomes. These are steady movers.

One more thing.

I have been having to do a Mig-17 convertion and a Me-109 / 10 fo the longest time.

I have been sent a 1/32 17 model and 1/32 109 with a BBI 109 by the guys who want me to make them.

Do you guys want me to proceed or hold up ? There was talk of somebody making the Me-109/10 but there has been no other word.

The Mig-17 may have to be a "one of " because it will be a major rework. Almost everything has got to be redone. This would be a major project to replecate unless there is an ovewellming desire to have this by other collectors.

That is all for now.

Again let me know if there is anymore interest in any of these projects.

When I get closer in I will put up a new post to see if there is still interest in that Trop Spitfire.

Thanks

The last of the Pavehawk windows and pylon stubs should gop out tomorrow. I hope. We had a little cold snap and it is playing hell with the resin. The last few casts came out oily.I may have to repour them. That will put me back a day if that is the case.

The Stuka kit and Fw-190 props should go out tomorrow.

The Stuka cannons are not ready. I ran out of brass tubing.

The M-134 kit is done and ready to go.

The last of the 222 build up will go out tomorrow. I still make to make the last 2 kits. as stated before I am having issues with the resin.

That is all for now.

Trouble in River City.

I have had issuse with the latest batch of resin. It seems that somewere in transit the resin must have hit some freezing temps.
After casting , the moulded pieces are oozing oily resadue. I poured a couple of Apache radomes and it seems as if the center core was hallow filled with resin. I know this is not the case but were is all the oily stuff coming fro? I have no idea.I have about $400 worth of cast parts that I will just have to throw in the trash.

When I casted some pylon stubs the moulds were oily as well. I washed them out with laquer thinner and tried another pour. That caused the resin to grab the mould in such a way that the mould shreded when I pulled the out out. Bummer.

Well the suppliers just sent me a NEW batch of resin and I will have to make all of the parts over again. For those of you who have not recieved their parts yet this is the problem. Today I hope to pour everything AGAIN and I also need to make news moulds for the pylon stubs AGAIN.

Hopefully I will get this all worked out and you guys will get your parts ASAP.

Thanks,

Matthew

Wow! That stinks with the resin problems. That was exactly what happened to a couple of the parts for my 222 kit, but your excellent customer service fixed the problem. Sounds like global warming would actually help your efforts
