My first XD was the D-Day P-38.
I came back the next day and got the Corsair, Stuka, and Huey.

My first piece (and my first awareness that XD even existed) was the winter Tiger I at a Walmart back in about 2004. From there, I started doing research on the web to find out more about it, and discovered bbi, and through bbi's website, BadCat, so my second piece was the F/A-18. From there, the collection grew pretty rapidly until about 18 months ago when it all pretty much came to a screeching halt. Wonder why...

my first XD was finding the S1 German and american WWII figures at WM - thought they were the coolest thing - I ha picked up a few 12" figures here and there but had no idea about 1:18 - I remember the Christmas when all the airplanes were hanging at TRU and Walmart had walls of the stuff - My first tank was the german winter all metal.
