Those appeared a ways south in Fresno a while back, around the time the Avengers first started showing everywhere else in Jul/Aug. There was only one caseload with the two P-51s and two F-104s. The planes dissappeared within a month, but all the same ME-109Gs are still there :? Keep your eyes peeled for the Chinese "Tiger Stripe" Mig-15s. I found 4 of them at one store in Fresno, so I would think they will be showing elsewhere in Ca. shortly!

WM in Monrovia has about half a dozen each off 32x yellow nose stukas and devil dog corsiars. Plus one or two white tail corsiars.

What shpould be done is force a set time limit on stock and return it back to the manufactuer if it doesn't sell. Then 21st can wholesale them off to a etailer.

How many times do we see the same stuff sitting for months on end with no new stuff. The store mangers/computer systems are waiting for that to move before requesting a resupply.

Have a date on the box to return back so that new and fresh stock is rotated. I, like everybody else get sick and tired of seeing the same black 109s for a year now. If 21st has an exclusive contract then it should have had some clause for prompt display and continual restock.

None of this "if we feel like unboxing it" I hate having only one retail outlet. The etailers are often in the same boat, they have to wait as well.

What also need to be done is a ironclad restock day in every walmart.

Like Tuesday is the restock day for DVD movies. Every Tuesday morning like clock work, there is a crew going putting up new DVD's and VHS.

Made the trek to the Green Valley Walmart today. No Chinese MiGs or PAK40, but did find a TOW Mutt on clearance for $13. Left the Seal tactical vehicle there, though.

has anyone seen the MIG's in the northeast?

Post by dkalcevic » Wed Oct 18, 2006 12:34 pm

i live here in johnstown pa. have not seen any migs at the wal mart here. the avenger is available but no mig. if anyone sees one in the western pa area let me know. when i looked for them on ebay you could almost follow the distribution starting at the west coast then to the south west then the midwest. waiting for the north east, just dont want to have pay extra plus shipping.

:( Went to the super Walmart in Monroe N.Y. this morning and they had plenty of BOB series 2, old 1/32 stugs. What suprised me was they had 8 brand new 1/18 P-51s. They were out of reach on the overheads. They weren't there last week. I don't do repaints so I didn't do any climbing to check them out. Bob

21st drought but not as much

IN REFERENCE TO MY THREAD LISTED BELOW-

A new walmart opened yesterday- in midtown Atlanta. There are no union infested neighborhoods with cowering city council members to prohibit it around here. Being in "midtown" this one has no firearms in the wayback but a mighty impressive assortment of merlot and chardonnay..

ANYWAY, concerning my recent bitching- I found a undertaker P-51, and two panzer auf L's with TAN dak scheme and 2nd king tiger scheme.

Since the store opened Wednesday and I visited Thurs, I wonder what else would have been included in the shipping boxes?

Picked up a 1:32 Stuka (tropical paint) at a WM in the Albany NY (Latham) area yesterday. Really quite a bargain for the $. Nothing else new there.

Nothing new at the WM in Herkimer NY. I'm really looking for the PAK 40.

Well, two Walmarts today, one in Tucson and one way down in Sierra Vista. No MiGs, no halftracks, no PAK40s. Sunday, I'll be hitting Walmarts in Phoenix and Flagstaff. Have a really good chance of going 0-for-most of Arizona

Nothing notable at 2 of the 3 Walmarts I frequent the most. At the third(441, Coral Springs) they restocked BOB II figures and the last plain Hanomag and SEAL Mutt. This close to Christmas? What the heck?!

The Christmas rush won't be until the Friday after Thanksgiving. Then, if we don't see it, can we carp. Until then, I will attempt to behave.

Walmart in McDonough GA just stocked the Navy Seal vehicle and the Vietnam Mutt with TOW. One each - they also have two coursairs on the top shelf - the pegs are still filled with OMG and Japs. I think I bought a set of each many months ago and now they sit.
The Avengers sit at pretty much every Walmart I check in my area two to three each store. After the collectors bought their one the rest just sit.

Also had to stop in Columbus GA last month for some car repair on the way to Florida and walked over to a Walmart. Man different world - found command car with both figures for $5.00 each. All the vehicles and figures were BOB 1 but the only Airplane was the new stuka for $12.99. Needless to say I spent some of my vacation money.

Okay, now add Phoenix and Flagstaff Walmarts to the list of disappointments. So, having traveled this weekend between the Mexican border to I-40, the eastern and central parts of Arizona have jack squat. No Avengers, no Migs, no Sabres, no halftracks, no PAKs. Granted, I had to bypass Casa Grande because the wife and I filled the back of my Scion at Ikea, but based on my track record for the weekend, I doubt I missed anything.

I think my best bet will be to wait now until after halloween. Maybe once costumes are cleared out we'll see more toys showing up on the shelves.

Rats, the only new piece I've been finding up this way is the 1:32 tropical Stuka, which I already have. I must learn to be more patient....

WTF,WM, where's the new stuff...?

Post by c44 » Fri Oct 27, 2006 7:02 pm

Re: Migs, Paks, & new tracks on Long Island, fuhgeddabout it...last week I spotted an unopened carton of 1/18 military vehicles on a skid at WM & figured I had hit pay dirt, so I took out my pocket knife to grab the contents (this practice aggravates WM employees, but half the fun of shopping there is annoying the help)...but it was just the umpteenth restock of the Seal Vehicle, Tow Mutt, old half-tracks combo...I was at the Centerach Wal-Mart tonight and they were just restocked with Tropical Stukas, BH Corsairs, German 104s & Seeman 109s...Middle Island WM only has restocked 104s & 109s, but both places continuously get more BOB figs...I suppose it's better feast than famine --- nice if you missed them the first & second times around, but it would be nicer if they mixed it up with some new offerings...PS I thought a few weeks back C'reach was restocked with Avengers, but it would appear these were re-shelved returns...there were only 2 & they soon disappeared...
