THE MIG KILLER
I repainted the nose, i thought it would get it a bit more attitude and i have to say it looks damn good, i ordered decals for the fuel tanks, thinking about putting MIG KILLER on the side of them, plus vf-84.

I have a dream....
When JSI F-14 kit comes out, it will make customizations way much easier.
I would buy the canted vertical stablizers in one second if there is any one made. Even I can install them.

you need to weather it with some anit-corrosion spots....NWarty wrote:Got my stand yesterday from Pizzaguy and it looks fantastic when lit up. For the most part my 1991 VF-84 Cat is complete. One of these days I may weather her a bit more.
Enjoy!

Re: POST JSI F-14 SPOT REPAIR IDEAS HERE
I prefered use of an airbrush and Testors Acrylic Flat Gull Gray paint is a near-perfect match to the standard base color JSI used on the F-14. I carefully masked off all the markings and sprayed the paint coat lightly so the spots came through, but just barely. That may have been the weathering effect JSI may have been trying to achieve...
This was how mine looked a day or so after it was painted in 2009, and it still look pretty much the same today:
