Same here. A cast hull would have made this a must buy. Fortunately, I can pass on this one.aferguson wrote:thanks for the pics g1.![]()
MG42: when you said rounded hull i was thinking you meant the cast hull.....but this isn't it...too bad.
Then again, we've had Shermans from three different toy makers. It would have been nice if one had did the cast hull by now.

Both rang up on the receipt under the same number. 087061862kimtheredxd wrote:For those that have bought them. Does the reciept show just assortment or is it A specific item #.
And yes, they were scanned individually.
However the sku's on the bar codes were different for each tank:
1887671307 - Brown/Green
1887671607 - Green
And match up with the model #'s that FoV advertised on the back of their boxes.
The turret and hull are plastic, but molded very well to look like cast metal. There are also nice weld seams throughout the model.

GRUNT1:
Two questions:
1. Do the Shermans have any weathering? (it doesn't look like it in the photos)
2. Is the FOV Sherman an early or late version?

There is black paintbrush type weathering, but it is so slight it's almost not there. Or perhaps mine was done on a Friday.
I'm no expert on Sherman variants but it looks like this one with cast turret, 75mm gun, Ford deck, added commander cupola and loader hatch, etc..

I agree that someone should make one with the rounded cast hull and the HVSS suspension system. That would open the doors to a lot of mods and variants.

For those that have bought them. Does the reciept show just assortment or is it A specific item #.
I am at work (oops!) so I can't compare but it appears that this is a direct scale up of the FOV 1/32 Sherman.
Thanks for the pics Grunt!

If I wait a week, will the new Sherman be at the "clearance" price of $10?
Seriously, can anyone confirm the FOV Sherman is an early version---as opposed to the smooth-front version? (I'm not a Sherman expert and was curious about the FOV Sherman being an early or late version).
Also, I see that some posters at Target found the Bradleys at the "clearance" price of $10 while others found them at the normal price of $20. That's like Wal-Mart's clearing the 21st Century 1/18 planes at $15 while other Wal-Marts had them at $25.

Found one set each of the new American and German WWII figures, just a few minutes ago at the west Fresno Target! That was a nice, short wait
I picked up a complete set of the Germans, but left the Americans. All the figures looked great, but the US troops seemed to be the least accurate, and I already have enough of them between the excellent BBI troops and the 21c D Day figures. One could always use more Panzergrenadier figures, however
Now to wait for the Shermans...
