Just got home last night from a week in the Blue Ridge taking daughters back to school and stopped at WalMart in Staunton, Va. Exit 222 off of I-81. They had 3 new 1:6 Kettenrads, and one 1:6 Sahara jeep! Some 1:32 playsets and soldier groups (didn't really pay too much attention to those).

In 1:18 they had - 6 Me-109E -S7 (black one) a bunch (at least 4 each) of the new Bulldogs, COED Shermans, German and Amercan Halftracks! They also had quite a few Japanese and S2 Marines! All full price, no DEALZ! I bought the only Dodge Weapon's Carrier they had! Gotta keep those supply lines moving!

Headed south for vacation last week. Had a chance to check out 3 WMs during our travels:

Fredericksburg VA -
Several black BF-109s, and plenty of the S1 Marines (blew my mind to see figures on the pegs, as I've yet to see them anywhere in Upstate NY).

Morehead City NC -
M41s with the Asian figure, Coed Shermans, winter Halftracks, Hanomags,
black BF-109s, S1 Marines, plus 4 of the Japanese (I bought 1 each of the 4 they had, even though I already had the whole set from BadCat. Really like the new articulation....).

New Bern NC -

The Panzer tank without the side skirts, black BF-109s, and most amazing to me ---- BOB figures, Patton figure (Tunisia), German and American Tankers, Stuka and Corsair Pilots, and S1 Marines. No Japanese.

Time to move south???

A-10
At TRU?

I thought this was a Target line only? Is TRU carrying the line now too?

Could be that TRU got hold of the A-10 as well although I haven't seen any at my local TRU lately.

I saw the BBI A-10s and new figures at three different Target stores in Fesno Ca, this evening. I was not impressed, but probably would have been 8-10 years ago! Then again, over the past 5 years I've been jaded by all the professional 21c figures and planes - and the regular BBI ones as well.

Was amazed to find Japanese figures on the pegs at the WM in Auburn NY today. Picked up two - now I have double of almost all of them.

First figures of any type I've seen at WM in Upstate NY. Gives me hope that the S2 Marines might show up here.

No figures at the WM in Camillus.

Thats good news Tinman, the only thing my local walmart (Massapequa, NY) has are Fw-190's. They must have a ton of these cause they don't collect dust, that is they are not the same ones I saw last week.
As for figures and armor, nothing. Its getting so bad I took some of my 1/6th stuff out of there storage bins :shock: just looking :wink: If they keep making 1/18th I'll keep collecting it... just so damn hard to find. :?

Are the FW 190 d9's 1:18 or 1:32? How many versions of the 1/32 FW are there so far?
Thanks,
Todd

I think Hworth18 was talking about the 1:18 FW-190, being mismarked as a "new item" at Wal Mart.

As for the 1:32 FW-190, there are now three versions "White 1," "Red 3," and "Black 1." The first two have been avaliable at Wal Mart, and all three will arrive at the online retailers next week.

Weirdest score at a local WM the other night... A Panzer on clearance for $32.

This is my nearest WM so I hit it often,a nd they had NOTHING for armor, then I popped in and they'd reset (they'd been doing this for a while) and had shelf space for halftracks and the Walker. They'd already sold most of the halftracks when I got there and I figure this was it (they have about 50 - 60 Hueys of various decoes and planes on top shelves in the back near dog food). So I checked over clearance because of SW items showing up, and low and behold there's the FIRST Panzer tank I've ever seen sitting there for clearance. $32 isn't a huge price cut but still it's nice.

I'm not fond of the paintjob or the lack of skirts but I bought it nonetheless just because this is the first I've seen. I hit this store all the time too so I know I haven't seen this. I'm not sure if it's a return from another store, or perhaps got lost in the back and doesn't have shelfspace (or its Sku is outdated?), so that's just weird.

First one I have seen and on clearance. :) Sweeet.

Found some S1 and S2 marines at the WM in Antioch, CA. Also found one Walker Bulldog tank and the ME-109G6 but that was it.

1 = 1/32 me 109 older version

4 = 1/18 FW 190 red strips

2 = 1/18 FW Black 12

2 = 1/18 FW "1" with an orange rudder?...never saw this before?

2 = 1/18 u.s. half tracks
