We've seen the same thing with Walmart. There might be some sort of clause that prevents these retailers from competing with the online bubbas. Which is good since the online guys wouldn't be able to hang against those kind of prices. :?:

I've found several TRUs with the green/tan quad 50 halftracks- I used to get every repaint of everything, but I just dunno anymore. That and I notice I put 20.00 of gas in the tank every three days or so..

Could someone post a picture of the new M-16 halftrack repaint? I'm curious to see what it looks like. They haven't shown in my area as of yet, and I looks like I will get my M-17 trailer sooner from BadCat than from any of my area TRUs

You can see it on ebay. Looks very cool. Nicer than the S1 IMO.

I am posting a pic on AREA-21 tomorrow. I saw one tonight at TRU. I was on a cell phone call with Mr. Sutherland while I was in the store. we were both shocked to learn that the repaint halftrack was already on shelves. China sometimes likes to get stuff done early and under the radar it seems at times....

Anyway, I was emailed a photo and I will post it up on AREA-21 tomorrow morning so that everyone can see it from there.

I also have more news that I received surrounding a new 1:32 plane as well as a new dual 1:18 figure pack that is expected to come our way soon. All of this will be covered during this week! Meanwhile you can see the new 1:6 weapon set and the 2 new 1:48 planes.

I think this new repaint halftrack looks very nice. But I'm with General Blasto. What about the King Tiger and the 88? I think those 2 are the hottest XD items that we're waiting for. It would be great if you could find out more about their release date, tko.
And again - it is spelled WeHrmacht, guys...

The King Tiger and 88 have got to be real close. 21st was projecting a December release and from what I have been able to gather up in the intel these are still on track. I do think it's going to be late December so depending on distribution being spotty as it usually is the frst 3-4 weeks, I would expect that some people won't find them till January.

21C is going to give us more info on these soon. I know that progress is moving along because I have been told / shown what the S1 paint will be for each piece for some time now. I am just waiting for the green light from the decision makers at 21C to release that info. Meanwhile I will keep the pressure on from my end to get that info out to everyone ASAP!

The 88 by the way, is going to really freak everyone out in terms of detail and accuracy.

Man that halftrack looks cool 8) Does the quad 50 gun come off the halftrack ? If so that would make a awsome U.S north africa armor piece. Also guys wanna start guessing as to what the upcoming news about the dualpack will be. I think it will be either a VN or a ww2 american set :)

I recall seeing the test photo of the dual pack to be WWII Germans. Hopefully this is true AND a two pack of WWII Americans too :) Herr General

I rather have the two packs as NAM figure assortments....r example, a Barnes & Elias set......or as Taylor & Elias set or as a Barnes & Taylor set.....that would be a nice way to distribute the "Platoon Line"....what do you guys think?

Hmmm... looks like I'm going to have to trade in my S-1 M16 for the S-2 version.

Dual packs

Post by General Blasto » Tue Nov 20, 2007 4:37 pm

There may be more than one dual pack, but this is the one that was posted back in Sept.

http://www.21stcenturytoys.com/area21/a ... newsID=275

Perhaps we'll all get to have what we want, but this one is good as far as I'm concerned :) Perhaps TKO can enlighten us more ;) Herr General

Normally I'd be in agreement with you, but with the 88 coming, and my North Africa Tiger having returned from the storage bin, my shelf space is limited. I'd much rather be able to exchange one for another (although that is quite unlikely, and I'll probably end up with both). I will admit to not being terribly upset at such a quandry. 8)

These are the two dual packs that have been sighted previously as prototypes. No idea what the "real" ones will be..

The Otto's in new camo are cool. Hopefully that's a good sign for what the rest will be vs. re-issuing old guys in "new" two-packs like in the first photo..

Interesting that they keep issuing these guys with the Beretta SMG and the Kar 98 vs. the MP-40, a PPsh, G43 or something interesting.

new guys

Post by digger » Tue Nov 20, 2007 6:58 pm

It really bothers me that they release guys with web gear for rifles that come with MGs or sub-MGs. It has cost me a ton of Dragon Web gear to get a bunch of Ottos with different weapons, and we haven't had a guy with MG ammo belts since S1/FJ. 21C has the weapons (MG-42, MP-40) - give 'em to us with the correct gear!

Agreed! However, as these are toys, 21c is probably figuring that little Johnny and his mommy at TRU or Wal Mart won't know the difference. Then again, the designers at 21c may not know either :P

I've used that ammo belt that came with one of the 21c Eastern Warrior on US or German machinegunner figures before. Its not perfect, but works
