Yea, I haven't been paying attention and what do you do? Take time for yourself. I'm disappointed. Get back in the basement and get back to work.
  Just kidding.

Re: 1/18 Ho-229 Prototype Progress Pics !!! 5-28
I own a granite installation company. We do granite counter tops fireplaces and the occasional exterior cladding on buildings.
Before the storm I averaged about 2-3 counter tops a week. After the storm we averaged 3-4 granite counter tops a day.
Now we average 2-3 a month. Right now I have quite a few lined up one right after the other.
One granite job equals about 2 weeks worth of XD.
In between the granite jobs I am trying to fill XD back orders.
I have about one week or so and I will get back on the Horten .
After the storm we saved the money that we made

XD does not pay the bills granite does. Working on pure XD we come up about $1,000-$2,000 short every month.
So when my real job starts jumping I need to be on it.
Believe me if my real job were regular. There would be no way i would put out as many projects as I do.
Making Xd was going to be my retirement job. But the bottom fell out in the construction industries so I make toys to pay the bills.
It is fun but with a mortgage 2 car notes and a son in collage there is just not enough money in it.
So that is what I have been doing in this time.

Re: 1/18 Ho-229 Prototype Progress Pics !!! 5-28
Real work still goes on.
Nothing to report. But Jackson did send me the mock ups for the crosses and swasties.
Maybe if I get the chance this weekend I can throw them on and take a few pics.
Another full week of my real " job" then I need to get on those orders.
Sorry guys.
This being Father's day I usually work on something for myself.
Just one day out of the year is plenty sad.
I kind of envy some of you guys who get my stuff.
You have them , I do not.

This is not the Horton but I thought you guys would love this picture. Its a ramjet the Germans were working on when the war closed.

It was partially completed... Ive always liked it because like the Horton it looks so alien and bazzar especially for 1945

The Lippisch is cool looking with Eric H's tulip.
I went to a local modelers meeting earlier this week and one of the guys said that he built a 1/48 scale Horten with Eric's paint scheme. He had the tulips on the engine intakes. Now that would look cool as well

That would be cool. I remember reading that when Hartman was offered a 262 he declined saying he would rather stay with what he knew. If the war continued I wonder how long that line of thought would have continued.

the lippisch is a very cool little luft 46 design. It would have been able to run off of coal. However, there were a host of technical problems to be overcome and it would still suffer from the same drawback as most of the german wonder weapons.....it would have to take off and land, where it would be very vulnerable (that is what made the Natter desiign so appealing).
Another problem would have been its speed. It would have been so fast that aiming at the very slow bomber targets would have been difficult and the slow rate of fire of the cannons would have meant a very small weight of fire per shooting pass. And it would have been difficult to modify the design to carry air to air rockets.
Still, the Lippisch P.13a is one of my favourite luft 46 designs, along with the Lerche and Triebflugel.

The comic was awesome, I dont collect comics but those were great. The boxes I would use would be similar to the standard BBi box but be covered in that style of Art and script.

http://www.coverbrowser.com/covers/luftwaffe-1946
I think they would sell very well!

Pickel, if you get a chance to take pics of your 229 this weekend, could take one with wings on and gear down? I'd just like to see it in 1:18
