There you go MM :D Just 10 days ago you said the Hellcat was "wishful thinking" and we had to remind you patience was all that was needed with bbi and that it was coming. Now maybe you should change your name to MightyHellcat :)

I hope BBI releases their Hellcat in a British paint scheme. It looks great in that scheme.

I did say that didnt I digger. Well I was wrong and my "waiting" did finally pay off. As for changing my name? No way because the Mustang is is still my favorite fighter followed by the Hellcat and F4U so the name wont change.

And I have the same question Moth has. Now that we have the good news, whats the bad news? If its that the Hellcat dont have the folding wings I can live with that just as long as its 1/18th scale, which I'm pretty sure it will be.

And for Sabrefan,

I'm sure we will see plenty of repaints with this baby. And a British version may be one of them.

Hey Donald Emersons P-51D! I always did like the paint scheme on his bird along with the Donald Duck cartoon painting. I wonder if thats the next paint scheme coming out from BBI for their P-51 series? If it is I MIGHT just have to pick one up. As for the Corsair repaint? I'm holding off on that one because I already have 2 F4U's as it is (Bunker Hill and Marines Dream). But nice paint scheme.

It sure is Sabre. Now its time to hit the sack. Its great to end the day for me knowing that a Hellcat will be in my hands sometime down the road. And hopefully it wont be too long.

Night all!

The stearman picture is captioned Moorabbin YMMB (a hop skip an Jump from where I work, I here aero engines all day long, cool) .

Don't suppose you know Phil Vabre (Cessna 175A, Romeo Foxtrot Uniform) by any chance? He's often at Point Cook doing the ATC for the open days.

.........form what I hear, it is pretty expensive parking there these days!

You'd know Phil if your saw him, an ample sized man, always in shorts regardless of the weather (except the odd occasion when he's dons a his fly suit) and wearing one red and one green explorer sock.

Anyway I fly with him from time to time, to the odd fly-in here and there, he calls me Otto as in Otto-pilot , our last trip was the AAAA Auster fly-in at Wang YWGT a couple of weekends ago.

By the way is that where Charlie India Alfa used to live when it was Drage's Air World
