I would certainly pick one up as I have liked this plane ever since seeing the aforementioned "Bridges At Toko-Ri" at a very early age- one of my favorite movies because it doesn't have a happy ending and actually dares to address the ambiguity, in no uncertain terms, of the Korean conflict which is amazing to me for a film made in the early 1950's when such unpleasantness was rarely touched upon by Hollywood. William Holden is great in the lead. Grace Kelley is nice to look at. The Panther is a cool jet. And as a ship nut, I like seeing all of the detail shots of the U.S.S. ORISKANY (CV/CVA34) in her guise as the fictional carrier SAVO ISLAND. This was before she had the angle deck and steam cats installed. Vintage stuff.

Well, whatever it was that was in the pipeline at San Leandro (not necessarily any aircraft, mind you), it’s now been sidetracked in favor of the yet-to-be-released AVG P-40. There have been no news on the fate of the BBI Solomon Islands’ Zero and the Dauntless and Skyraider by AT (whose customer service has gone AWOL, BTW) are nowhere to be seen either. So maybe it’s time to switch scales.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for new aircraft/armor, but the prospect doesn’t look too promising, let’s put it that way.

I would find it hard to switch to any scale but the 1:18 and it would be nice to see any new modern aircraft out, but you promissed me the F-4 Mig21 and the B-25 sometime in early 08 or was it late 08 i can not remember, I try and look everyday for any information on these birds and do not see much , but i will not give up and there is always hope!!! :( :hornet:
