The bottom line is that until someone who knows what they're talking about sees one of these in real life, we're not going to know 100% for sure if it's 1/18 or not.

The seller hasn't responded again, so he may not want people coming to his place..
Or may not have one or have ever seen one in person himself. It also could be someone providing a "local" seller ID for product direct from Hong Kong.

Its Trumpeter's 1/20th kit

Post by nfafan » Sat Jan 06, 2007 8:47 pm

it is also sold as a "Wasan" branded kit in R/C. Have no idea as to why they chose 1/20th scale as opposed to the more commen 1/16th or 1/25th large scale tank models.

Trump's 1/16th T34 kits are also sold as R/C tanks sans the full interior.

Chinese Vehicles

Hi,
Not sure why someone thinks this is a scam on the seller's part. His feedback is quite good and if it isnt true-to-scale, as he purports, you can always take it up with him (and PayPal) after the auction.

I'm not sure why some of the vehicles he offers is in 1:30 scale -- seems like a strange scale to model when much of the mid-sized vehicles are replicated in either 1:32 or 1:35 scale. Still, I'd be very interested in seeing these vehicles first-hand and would love to find out if the manufacturer(s) has distribution in place for North America. The price seems right and if the quality is good, think they would sell well.

Cordially,

Aferg,

Zartan and Hardensteel both live in the Vancouver area. Maybe one of them could check it out.

As i recall the hull was slightly stretched on the Chinese version. The width seems exactly right to me.

The seller has 100% feedback; if he were 'suckering' people i don't think he would...
