I feel your pain Lefty. I'm getting very impatient and very angry.

I'm trying to stay optimistic - was thinking the other day that as long as it's taken them to do these, it would be really cool if they could/would make each one unique (e.g., number them as if from the same squadron, paint our names as the pilot under the canopy and add our FW-190 "kill" markings - something!)

You guys should be updated sometime this week as to the status of the 4 for Victory Mustangs. 21st has indicated to me in several e-mails and phone calls that significant progress has been made and that the final versions are quite close now to the release date. I think we are now just a matter of "inches" away from the finish line.
Hang in there just a little bit longer, you guys are really close to owning a very rare set of limited edition P-51's

Can someone explain to me what this contest was? I think this happened before I was a member of the forum.

When the FW-190s were clogging Walmart shelves, they had a promo that if you bought one of each variant over a few months and sent in the POP, you would get a free Mustang with unique paint scheme. Its been a long, long time for those guys (and gals) who participated.

And what did you do with 4 190s? :?

I think the pics I posted were close to the final version. May not of been the final scheme. I hope it has the girl on it. :P
I deleted the letter and can't remember much about it. They did say it wouldn't be long before they're shipped out.
I believe the contest ended Sept of '05. :? You could buy any version you wanted, as long as you had receipts for 4 planes.
If anyone is interested, I do have some FW-190's for sale.
Kevin.

The Tender Terror progress pics that were provided to the aces on friday were just that, progress pics. They were taken about 3 weeks ago so more progress has been made on the final versions. And just to put any concerns to rest, the final version that ships will have the pin-up girl on the nose along with the other markings.

Based on my experience with 21st I can assure you that those progress pics are a good sign that the product is very nearly done! Can't wait to see those beauties ship out to the Aces homes! You guys will have one hot collector item.

It looks as though this Mustang is turning out very very well tko and I cant wait to get my hands on the final version. This will be a hot item for sure. But I didnt get an email on Friday and I'm very concerned about it. But that being said this is going to be a beauty.

This has been so long ago, I am almost certain 21st has my old home address on file. Was the deadline for the contest last year, or the year before?

It looks like the plane still has the raked back prop from earlier releases of P 51.
