There used to be a great little hobby shop down in Champaign that carried a lot of these kits like this, that's where I got mine. Unfortunately they went out of business a couple years ago. I really want a 1/18 scale TA-183!

Thanks for looking guys. I picked up a Huck off Ebay. I am working on getting the cross sections drawn up.
YT, Are you thinking of Slot-n-Wing Hobbies?

No leisure time Pet and Hobby over on Mattis. Slot and Wing just moved, hot mess that it is. Although I have scored some nice deals there over the years it is a crazy place.

I forgot about leisure time. They always had a good selection of discontinued models. SnW is more organized in their new place. At one time they had great scratch and dent selection.

And we're off. Couple more items and some skin. The Amtech model has helped a ton. There isn't any good high res plans anywhere. I finally won a proportional divider on Ebay cheap. That's helped enlarging the 1/48 to 1/18 details. Kids sports cutting into allot of the weekend time. This was one evening. Imagine a whole weekend.
Anyone have Jet Planes of the Third Reich: The Secret Projects, Vol. 1 by Manfred Griehl?
Seen it online (front Cover), but not sure if it has anything of value for this project. I'm a little leery to buy it since the last book purchase.

Looks great Nathan! Those Admiral figures are pretty rough. I'm thinking the 21st 262 pilots may be a better choice?

Looks great!!!
The best figure to use would be the 262 night fighter pilot with the O2 mask.
Please tell me you will be selling these as kits, I would love to have one!
Years ago I wanted one so bad I was about to carve up a mig 15 but I knew it would look worse than my "Kate" made from two zeros ever did

I will feel more comfortable offering these once I am able to make the fiberglass mold and get the first cast out. From there I can work on the internal details, canopy and landing gear.
There is an injection molding company 15 minutes away from my house. If it wasn't so expensive I would see if they could do.
Thanks for the comments.

I think I´ll need such a pretty little thing too
This one would look perfect between my Me163, Horten and all the Me262´s.
I totally agree with YT and Jnewboy because of the pilot figure
question--> best option would be the 21st Me262 pilots. The AT-figures suck!! Better solution if no 21st 262 pilots available would be the D9 and late G6 pilots (Guys in the black suits)

The progress on your 183 is very impressive! Ya this would look great flying with a couple of 229's.

Slow weekend. I was able to get the main parts constructed. Now it's just sanding, filling, sanding and priming.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was able to get the wing fillets going this weekend. I can get started on the panel lines as soon as my 1/64 panel line tape arrives. I've been putting off the canopy, but it's time. I'll work on that this week.
Should I exaggerate the details to in the canopy, so when I do the vacuum form the details come out better? I was thinking of doing the frame in resin and glass on the vacuum.

The resin frame will give the glass some rigidity as well as making it easier to paint.
