I am hoping for a very large, very diverse weapons load, not like the twin winder and brace of bombs and fuel tanks like on the 16 and 18. I want some mavericks, Mk-82, GBUs, Sidwinders, ALQ pod, Cluster bombs, maybe some fuel tanks. Basically I want more weapons then it can hold so we can mix up war loads, oh and it would be sweet if the doors would open to reveal the gun and boarding ladder. Oh man I am getting excited thinking about this. We must assemble an A-10 wishlist of all the features want on it. I suppose it would be too much to hope for to get an A-10B, since only 1 was ever made, but how about an A-10C since they will all be upgraded to that standard?

Well I'm with BirdDog, but if I had my druthers I'd like to see a big ordinance choice, Opening crew ladder door, Gun Access door, Canopy, operating flight control surfaces, and at least three paint schemes
European Green Scheme (Flying Tigers, Razorbacks)
Sky Grey two tone,
and the Jaws Scheme (Not in use anymore since ???)
Oh and a wrecked Iraqi Helicopter or Tank to go with it.

Here is the reply I received from the figures.com editor who posted the story:
"Note I wrote "PLAN TO RECREATE". Mike at bbi, who gave us the
walkthrough at the recent Fall Toy Show in NY, seemed very optimistic about
it. They already have a smaller version (hand-held with firing missiles and
such) and the fact that they had a mock-up on display further indicates
their intentions to make one on a more accurate 1:18th scale.
Plans could change, but given their track record, Im sure it will happen."
Sooooooo, we're right back where we started!

A-10
Howdy ho, Jeff Saylor, editor for www.Figures.com. I just wanted to further clarify this A-10 situation for you all. I didn't say YES. The Fall Toy Show, as Mike pointed out, is simply a preview to retailers, often used to gauge retailer response . All items on display are NOT set in stone for release. The A-10 mock-up on display being a firm testament to that. I wish now that I was much more clearer in my post because I'm certainly not here to step on bbi's toes or to get fan boys dreams too high on an A-10.
Final word: bbi has TENTATIVE PLANS to make one. TENTATIVE meaning may or may not happen. You'll all know soon enough in 2006 when the official confirmation from bbi is sent out.
If nothing else, my post alerted you all that bbi listens to fans and wants to make one. This thread is a further indication of that fan support.

Re: A-10
I wonder how the retailer's response was for a 1/18 scale A-10? Mike can you tell us that? Positive or Negative? We know BBI is listening to us and we deeply thank them. Just wonder which company, 21st or BBI, will go the extra step and produce the A-10 in 1/18 scale for us?JeffSaylor wrote:Howdy ho, Jeff Saylor, editor for www.Figures.com. Doesn't this look way too stubby in both dimensions?
Maybe it is an illusion of the photos (because the Zero wings look distorted to me as well) but that doesn't look even close to proportionate to a real A-10 to me.
Wehrmacht Toys make me smile!

I think the price point won't be a problem. Hopefully it won't cost more than the F-18 does. Even if it did, I wouldn't think it would be enough to knock it out of the ball park for mass market retail. BBI's part of the way there with their Target version. Just have to make it grow some more....
