I have been informed from 21st Century Toys that this article is not to announce the Avenger and that it is not boxed and ready to ship at the moment. Also the word "18th..." is not inreference to specific date. I am guessing it is in reference to a scale, IF it has anything to do with anything specific at all?

Avengers are close! But not 18th of November close... As much as I wish that were the case. I want an Avenger BADLY!

I think it's very clear what is being presented there.
They are refering to the man on the grassy knoll.
It's quite clear in those pictures if you drink 12oz of Jack Danials and 3 tsp of Sudafed. I saw it last night. Sorry I'm just now posting, but I just woke up.
Yes Dear, I know you said no more planes, But this one is special!

Alright. So, if we assume 18th refers to scale, the description of Roy either refers to shock or extreme fatigue...probably shock....as if you'd seen an alien or a ghost. (what aircraft have been nicknamed 'ghost'?)

So we have something 1/18th, that is shockingly spectacular but not ready to go yet. Roy saw 'them'.....not 'it'. If it was ready to go the word 'them' would imply the item was produced but we know that it is not. So 'them' could mean there is more than one thing that is 1/18th and thay 'they' together are so incredible that Roy was in a shocked state....ie it's not one new thing but more than one new thing.

Well.......i don't know... :?

And TKO, don't think for one minute we believe that you don't know what it is...

Edit: here is an article on a B-17 that was nicknamed the 'swamp ghost'. Maybe it's a 1/18 B-17. Certainly shocking! :D

Well the only thing that I can remember that was nicknamed ghost was the F-117 it had an Arabic Name for Ghost attached to it I think. Then there is the Phantom. But keeping that this was announced Halloween I still think trick or treat applies, hence I still think it is an Avenger. I have a feeling there are still photos to post yet on Area 21.

You have to give it to them though, Avenger or not its got us talking about it.

I would venture a guess that this could be related to "NOTHING"...
But I will also throw out a suggestion that this would promote the Flight 19 theory.... That they flew their Avengers into the Triangle "OR" were abducted by Aliens..

hworth18 might be on to something there.

Alien images/flight 19… there is a crazy  theory out there that aliens abducted the aircraft & crew from flight 19. See the opening shots from the movie "Close Encounters of the Third kind.

I am with Hworth18 all the way on this one. :D

One hundred and fifty three - 1:18 scale aircraft on the ceiling looks  damn good!

Ummm...what the hell you all talking about?

Post by digger » Tue Nov 01, 2005 5:32 pm

Guys, you're setting yourself up for major let down if you think there is ANY chance this has ANYTHING to do with a Phantom, MiG, B-17 and any other "new" AC. It just doesn't. Don't read more into it than halloween & Aliens (flight 19). Don't read too deep or you'll just confuse yourself.

Hey!
Roy looks just like I feel in the morning. My guess would be they are just wishing us a happy Halloween. Then again maybe it's a 1/18th scale UFO.

Interesting. I was looking at the gridlines in the picture. It sure looks like a canopy frame in both, I think from the Avenger. And no, I don't think that it signals anything of significance.......
