Welcome to the forum, armoredyak. :D

Seems you do have some enthusiasm. " sorry to be undressed".

BTW, we don't refer to these toys, as toys. They are precision models for the adult collector.

Ok, next time I make a poll I will include an 'all of the above' choice.

I have to admit, I thought that most people that bought 1:18 hid it in their closet to over-price on eBay in the years to come. It is great news to hear that you guys actually are enjoying these 'precision models for adult collectors.'

I buy toys to enjoy them, not as an investment. If you're trying to make money, you're better off trying to play the stock market. Toys aren't the way to go generally.

We all have problems with place for display and DUST. I'm lucky, my daughter loves from time to time to clean my helicopters with a very smooth paint brush. Though, with time, the windows get less transparent and finely scratched. Dont know how to replace these sophisticatly curved windshields...

so far, just to share where i am at, i have the sakai zero, an me109, an me262, fokke wulf, p51 mustang, the f14, a camo stuka, the x1 kit, a buzz bomb, a 1/18 v2 kit, imex, panther tank, tiger tank, abrams tank, a sherman, an 88mm flak gun, a hannomag, and probably one or two other things squirreled away. i have quite a bit of 1/6 stuff, probably way more figures, i have the non rc stewart, the bradley, a scout car, the howitzer tank destroyer, kittenkrads, schwimmwagens, a ton of assorted jeeps, and more...and a wife that is at the breaking point for big stuff. i was rabid to get the b25 and the f4 phantom when i saw them in preproduction. then it got kind of sad that nothing would happen, so i missed out on the hornet and falcon, which i am still cheesed off about, so now i try and restrict myself mostly to 15mm sci fi figures, 6mm ogre game figures, fantasy and sci fi miniatures. (hate mechs and tardhammer) and of course quite a bit of starship troopers stuff too. i live near nashville, my body is mostly a wreck, and have never really been able to hook up with anyone who likes this stuff. i admire the intricate construction of the stuff, and remember that aurora made some great tank kits, and stuff when i was a lot younger...the revell stuka was a father son project in 1972 or so. also on the game plan, is some kind of 3d printer/makerbot project later this year.

and if i win the lotto, i can envision opening a shop called 'mommy i want it' and having it all on display, but at such high prices i never have to worry about restocking it.
