Well it's confirmed. BBI's and Bad Cats Zero will be arriving in Oct. All I can say is that its about time we got to see a pic of it and its looks pretty darn good even for a prototype. This will be hanging up with "Marines Dream" giving chase ready to FLAME IT! BBI along with the help of Bad Cat has once again delievered in my opinion. Thanks to BOTH companies.
I wonder what the status will be of 21st's Zero now? Will they go forward with it or scrap it and concentrate on other aircraft? Its going to be interesting for sure guys. Now all I ask is for a Hellcat and an A-10 for those who are requesting it. Hey theres an idea for 21st on their next release!

Folding Wings?
So good just to see any vehicle from another country
Is type 21 supposed to have folding wing tips? If so I hope they remember them

NTSB
I'm taking a macabre NTSB look at the source photos mentioned at the top of the thread. It looks like a bullet hole in the top of the rudder on AI-154. Anybody else see any hit marks? I'm very curious as to what exactly knocked this bird out of the sky.

Preordered one for myself. BBI has done a great job with their previous WWII aircraft, so I have few reservations for this one. I had decided that I would get the first Zero that came out - whether it be from 21c or BBI. With an October 2005 BBI release date vs the 21c 2006 date, there was little hesitation!
Now, the anticipation is on for the 21c Avenger!

Well, I ordered my 2! It looks pretty nice!
Now we'll see how much bbi will divulge on their next product. I would expect "mums the word" again from Mike. All the same, between 21st and bbi, we are now in for some serious $$$ loss!
Just checking it out.... It's interesting that bbi selected such an early model of the Zero. This is equivelent to 21st kicking out the P-40B. At least there are several schemes out there for it. I personally prefer the Army green paint scheme if, and when, it comes out......

Need PH
I'm glad they did an early scheme because you have to do PH. HAVE TO. No doubt I'll be getting a PH version and I can't say that about any other Zero paint scheme.
Oh, and one more time for the aviation buffs - should the 21 have folding wings?

Now that I have the Mustang, Corsair and soon the Zero I look forward to the Avenger most of all and I hope 21st has it released by the end of the year if not sooner. Until then as I said in a recent post the bbi Corsair is the best 1/18th fighter so far to be released (no matter what digger says ).

Ummm...you don't have them all...you only have bbi planes...
It may be "the best"...I just think you should reserve judgement until you have them all....I have not said which WWII fighter is the "best" ....I did say check out the 104 if you want to be impressed.

Looks very very nice.
It may be the picture or my imagination but it looks like it's not actually light grey but a very pale light green, which i believe is the current thinking that these early war japanese aircraft actually were.
Regardless, it looks very nice and i'm sure will be a winner for BBI and Badcat..
