DAUNTLESS:

Bud Peterson flew "Hurry Home Honey" (I've got the BBI version).

As I said before, "Passion Wagon" is similar to BBI's all-olive drab "Old Crow" flown by Bud Anderson (I've got that, too). So I'll probably pass on "Passion Wagon".

By far the best 1/18 news I've heard in a long time. Awesome looking Mustang! The KT looking to be reality is great and I'm sure the B-25 at the top is for more than just adding to the sites good looks! Can't wait!

Awesome news. So who is selling their 1/18 scale planes, and how much will they cost? Can't wait to learn more. I also like the fact they have an image of a B-25 on their site.

Good to see another company in the mix, hopefully they release new stuff.

Not too thrilled about the nose art though. I think they could have done something that would be appealing to everyone and approriate for everyone. Don't know if that was really needed.

Can't be hanging that one in a classroom with kids that's for sure.

Well, how much for an average single engine AC? we were really spoilt at 39.95, accepted 50, 60, 70.00 currently on the net- add 20.00 to the retail price and get 'em in local stores somehow- I'd pay 50-60.00 at a brick and mortar store-

Am I too cheap or just too poor?

I'm anxious to see the price point they come up with. I'm thinking it'll beat JSI's though, imo anyway.

Sign me up for a KT, P-38 (PTO Green), A-10!!!, FW-190, and anything else................ maybe a M155 Sheridan and some of the other stuff at former 21c showed but never produced.

I'm not even that into planes and may have to buy that Mustang... That's a slick deco.

I'm curious if they'll be doing figures then as well? And will vehicles actually come with drivers/pilots from this group? I sure hope so.

Just making a point about the nose art that is all. And there is a market for kids in a sense, I know a lot of people buy them to hang in their kid's room and so forth. I'm not saying it wasn't part of history, it's just some people wouldn't want younger eyes to see that, period. It's not a historical issue, it's just the way things are.

This company has some big ambitions considering the current economic state. But the F-14 shows the market is open for these kind of collectibles. So perhaps they will do ok.

I agree, though technically California Cutie satisfied that to a small degree.

The bikini suggestion is what the Confederate Air Force (now Commemorative Air Force) did with the Yellow Rose B-25.

I like it, and will buy one.

AMEN!!!!! This is exciting!! 1:18 was almost dead and now we have new life into our hobby! Hope JSI keeps making modern and All Go! turns up the heat with new offerings as well! That B-25 has me stoked! I hope they make it!!

True, you won't see cheesecake nose art sitting on the shelf at TRU or WalMart, but this will probably fuel adult collectors, giving the company a faster capital inflow in order to produce a second.

While you are right that people buy these to hang in their kids rooms, there are enough other P-51s out there, that I don't really feel that the kid market is being shut out. However, another Old Crow like paint scheme might not capture as many initial sales.

the pin up nose art is a novelty and will fuel some extra sales as a result. It will also have swastika kill markings printed on the plane, which is a first in this scale.

While it's not ideal for kids, it's not that bad. It's just a drawing after all. Most 12 year old boys have seen worse, i'd be willing to bet. And i don't see that one non-child friendly paint scheme is a big deal after the slew of other paint schemes that have already been offered.

And like it or not, it's part of history and collectors have as much entitlement to have this in their collection as anything else. No sense pretending pin up nose art didn't happen. It happened lots.....and some of it way more graphic than this.

Lots worse things about WWII than pin up nose art. Like concentration camps and atomic bombs..
