Aggressor F/A-18: I'll pass....boring in my opinion

Eastern Front 109 Gustav: Yeah Baby!

F-4 "Steve Richie:: Bring it on!

F-16 tactical scheme: Oh yeah!

Yep, a new F-16 would be very much appreciated!
We still need more new 1/18 aircraft!

FOXHOLE TOYS:

I would NOT buy a BBI F-16 in aggressor paint scheme.
I would buy the BBI F-16 "Enduring Freedom" paint scheme that was shown last year but never released.

Also, thanks very much for the updates on BBI---it's been a virtual vacuum in that area.

I wish I had more news regarding finds for everyone. The truth is it wasn't really much. Aircraft finds in China were less than a total of 100 pieces (distributed amongst 6-12 retailers).

I did speak to our reps at BBI today and they hope to bring out 'something' from their 1:18 scale line this year. The design team in Hong Kong have been working on their European kids toys this entire past year and now can take a little time to concentrate on their 'forgotten' US markets - namely the BBI line of toys.

...so we got that going for us.
Thanks for the news!

Mind if you tell me how did it happen? Like, out of the blue, your rep calls you and says he's got a stash of finds and you'd be getting them tomorrow kinda thing? Just curious :D

So BBi is finally awakening from its slumber, did a case of "spots" jolt them awake from their nightmare of drowning dollar bills?

If its true that they are releasing stuff soon, things are indeed looking up this year!
But I wont get too excited just yet, at least till there is more concrete evidence, like they have to do better then showing prototypes

As it stands, I'm more receptive to the eastern me109 and F16 enduring freedom, less so to the aggressor F18

Just don't price it like JSI... please?

A small price increase is reasonable given the market, inflation, blah blah blah. No problems there and it's understandable. Now...Hopefully BBI won't price the 16's & 18's through the ionosphere given how much folks spent on the SpotCat. At that point, I'd be pretty turned off by it. I currently have a GD F/A-18, I'd like to own a 16 since I don't have one.

Like Gouchy said, I'm more excited about an Eastern Front Gustav and Enduring Freedom F-16

Thats exactly what I'm worried about, plus seeing the prices on ebay,

They might think our threshold of $ we'd pay for a jet is way way up now

Hopefully a significant price increase will not happen as well, however, since I have both the BBI F-16 and F-18, I'm set.

On the subject of the F-14's price increase, it uses more plastic than either of the BBI jets and is a far, far, more complex model. Its sheer complexity and the relatively few numbers of it sold is the reason for the price increase.

gouchy, how did it happen?

Let me say I hope I'm not confusing anyone regarding our phone calls with various company reps. There was a rep who called us from an independent distributorship, and yes "out of the blue", who said they found some old 21st C & BBI product in China. This actually happens more than one may realize. These are the current circulating items which are also seen on ebay. This was not the BBI rep I also spoke of.

The phone conversation with our BBI rep was just that - a phone conversation about hopefully getting back to work on the US market and in particular BBI's Elite Force 1/18 line. Perhaps we all will see them breathe new life into it this year at the February 2010 Toy Fair in NYC.

Again, sorry for any confusion.
Matt

No worries gouchy and I will do my best dragon53 to inform the forum of things I can confirm coming down the pike.

Actually, I just got another call today regarding older pieces out of China. Please email me directly for an update. I'm not quite sure if this looks like a sale on this forum and I don't want to upset the powers that be.
