I hang mine with Monkey Hooks and some quality fishing line.
The Monkey Hooks go anywhere and hold up to 50 Lbs. (they make some heavy duty ones too).
Just put the MH in the wall, make a loop with the fhishing line, loop it around the wing and in less then a minute your plane is on the wall.

On their site www.monkeyhook.com you can see a monkey ( a chimp) installing one in a wall.

I have 8 plane and a ton on 1/18 diecast on walls and never a mishap.

I guess you could use them to hang pictures and mirrors.

If you don't like it, it only leaves a tiny hole that you can cover up with a bit of caulk and the "boss" will never know.

HomeDepot and Ace sell them for about $2.99 for a pack of four, but after a while, you will be making them out of coat-hangers.

I don't know how I forgot these "Monkey Hooks". They are available under several names and are great. Every picture in my house is hung by these hooks except for a few where a stud was where I wanted to hang the pic.

Very easy and quick..... use a stud finder to make sure no stud or cable is beyond the wall. I use a ice pick to pop a small hole and push the hook in. A two second installation.

I now have a free shelf with my massive aircraft collection on the wall........ well, to me, a ground guy, my collection is massive.. So now I will have space for the next 21C tank....... wait a minute, oh well, now I have room for my next 1/6 guy or artillery piece....... we still have endless manufacturers in 1/6 coming out with just neat stuff. 8)

During a recon of a local Target, I spotted a 30-pack of Monkey Hooks for $9.99. They were in the "As Seen on TV" endcap.
