Hey Trex,
The pics will be a great help. I also won a Apachee off of ebay before I went on vacation.
I also baught a 1/48 Apachee longbow in 1/48 scale on my travels and it has the radome.
So when I get back hopefully I can get on this as I am making my M-10 moulds.
Anybody still interested ?

Hey Guys I finally got back to work on some XD after 21 days of vacation/work.
I am hopeing this will be a quick custom.
So far I have about 5 hrs on the radome.
I will work on it on Sunday because I really need to get back on the M-10 molds. I ordered some more RTV for the M-10 and it was waiting for me when we got back home.
Here is the roughed in radome with first shot of primer. It is not that bad just a little more sanding and it will be ready for detailing.
This is as big as a door knob. 70 mm wide
You guys will have to cut off the 4 pronged thingy to make this work. After looking at some pics it should be on the bottom of the rotor anyway.

It looks like a great response to the radome. I will try to mold it this weekend when I am molding the rest of the M-10.
After I do that I will have a firm price on it.
Thanks guys for the support.

Pickelhaube, you really should consider setting up a simple website showcasing the items you produce (or will create) along with prices, etc. Hire a couple illegal immigrants to do the dirty work and you could set up a little factory

No it does not . The only way to have do that is drill out the rotor hub shaft run a rod all the way through it sucure it to the body of the helo glue it there so it does not turn. Then glue my radome to the shaft.
You will have to cut off that rubber spike thingey off cut off the spider looking thing then glue the radome to the top of the rotor hub.

Just a suggestion....but I intended to mount to radome and shaft on a two-part shaft (one tube inside another). The outer shaft would be shorter and is for to rotor-hub. The inner longer shaft would be the mount for the radome. By drilling a hollow socket in the radome mount, it should slide right on the inner shaft and not turn while the rotor-hub would still be free to rotate.

Get your orders in because after all the shipping I will be moving on to another project and it will be a while before I get back to this.
