havent had time for reviews and all yet, ut did the quick measurement for you.

from mudguard tip to mudguad tip the length of the tank is 14.6 inches,

width from end of the mudguard to the end of the mudguard is 7.2 inches.

ill post pics next to the trumpeter 1/20 type 98 later tonight when i have more time..

it's about the lenth of a T-72, not quite as wide, but still quite close to 1/18 and i suspect it will be noticably larger than the 1/20 tanks. Very good.

i was thinking; maybe when these things become readily available we can talk our good buddy Pickelhaube into making a T-72 or T-80 turret for the tank, if there's enough interest..

Aferguson;

It's been a while since we talked about the 1/20 Trumpeter. It's not to far off from the T-72. I wasn't sure if you were going to order one back then.

I used the dimensions Nev provided and I provided my measurements below:

The PTE Type 98: Nevs information:

Tank length 400mm , total length inc barrel 500mm , width 185mm

The Trumpeter 1/20 Scale Type 98 MBT dimensions:

Hull (excluding the fuel pod racks on back and length of barrel): appx 15 in (381 mm)

Hull (including the fuel pod racks on back): appx 16 in (406.4 mm)

Overall Length (includes fuel pod racks to tip of barrel): 21 in (533.4 mm).

Width: appx. 7 3/16 in (182.56 mm)

Heigth: appx. 4 7/16 in (112.71 mm)

It's close to PTE's version dimensionally! My dimensions are off about a 16th of an inch or so given the ruler I'm using.

I'd be interested in the height to top of turret (excluding the antennas, scopes etc. on top of the turret).

Zhukov:

Please let me know if I'm close? I'd also like to see the comparison pics.

Aferguson:

I'd be interested in a custom T-72 turret if PickelHaube is willing to do it? I'm on board.

Chad

ill do the mm measurements of both if you want? the trumpeter version is almost exactly the same size as the pte version..the trumpeter version just has a wider turret. the difference in length is very very small. which exact measurements do you want?

Zhukov;

I provided both since Nev was using mm. I prefer dimensional info in inches...that's just me personally.

Hey Guys,
It looks like Aferguson and C 130 are in on the T-72 turret. Anybody else when the PTE's are more available ?
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller
