First 1/18 was a winter 109 in the motorworks box. I was doing 1/32 and the thing seemed huge.

Sixty AC/Helos/Vehicles and about 200 figures later my latest has been the BBI 109. :D Still have all those pesky 1/32 fellers too.

I can remember hauling butt to get to TRUs when a good friend of mine told me they had six BBI F-18s there. I could not wait to get home and put that model together. :)

BBI Checkerboard cowled Corsair was my first XD. I was looking down the aisles back in 2006 looking for a birthday present for my nephew when all of a sudden I saw these huge Corsairs. I couldn't resist, so I bought one for myself and one for my nephew. I had to tell my brother in law to make sure he supervised his son with this since this wasn't truly old enough yet to appreciate or handle such an awesome model.

A very long time ago, I went to TRU on my lunch hour to check what new 1/6 stuff they had for my son. TRU was having a sidewalk sale and I spotted the XD S1 Tiger. WOW, a model already built for $12. Then I spotted the XD Sherman and then the Jeep, all on sale! Had to have them (only one of each). Shortly after, they had a sale on the figures, and it went from there. I originally bought these for my son, but was hooked once he started setting up dioramas with dad's help and money. So now it is more me than him collecting this stuff!
Last XD was the pre-order for the Flak 88.

My first XD were a Kubelwaggen and a U.S. squad leader. I was hooked and got a Panther the next week... Never found a US rifleman for ages till they reshipped under the better paint aps.

FOV's M1A1 Abrams sucked me in to 1:18 land, now I don't care too much about 1:32 anymore.

S1 Me-109, and a very old German MG gunner. I was a mere youngin. Years later I saw the 32x Stuka on the shelves... hooked, again!

Latest would be the Admiral CL-13. :) Very pleased with both 32X and XD.

hey im not a millitary guy as much as the rest of you are.im just a long time fan of 3 3/4 action figures.ive collected many lines for a very very long time.since the early 80s really.
i am also a bit of a ww2 history guy and a big fan of just good looking uniforms. and so i always wanted some nice german sodiers and had never seen any outside of like the mediocre german disuise indy from the vintage line.
so one day i went into a tru after not having been in one for awhile.and just as i was about to leave i noticed a clearance section,so i went and looked and they had the xd fountain, farmhouse, barn and building ruin sets on clearance. i couldnt believe my eyes! i had no idea the stuff existed.so i got them all and had i had more moeny i may have bought a few more sets that day.
i hate to say ALL the series one stuff is still my favorite.

I don't know if anyone else got in on the very first offering at TRU back in 2000 (other than tman), but I sure did to my extreme excitement!

I happened to walk in and purchase one of EVERYTHING they had:

Full set of German Infantry
Full set of US Infantry
Willys Jeep
Kubelwagen
Me 109
P-51 "Lou VI"
Sherman Tank
Panther Tank

From then on I was completely hooked on collecting! :D

I'm with Matt from Foxhole. I was in TRU looking for my next SW figure and saw the display of soldiers. Looked good so I bought one. Opened it up at home and it had 13 points of articulation !!!! After 20 years of SW with very little movement I went back to the store and bought EVERYTHING. Then I got on Groundpounder and that was a very fast 8 years. Also a very expensive 8 years. Bob
