Yeah, those are the same thoughts I had about the "sniper."
I hope the .30 is nicely detailed, unlike the VN M60. I also want a good look at those legs for the machine gunner...I'm afraid they might suffer from being kinda stumpy...sorta like the Bruno legs.

That'd be my hope as it's quite nice... I'm hoping for belts of ammo ala the Nam Support Gunner too though. Those are quite spiffy. I wish we got some German MG'ers with that feature from FOV.

Maybe 21st will give us an MG'er with that for the Germans at some point. I'm digging the concept of these "support' people from 21st, I just really am hoping they don't gank us on the articulation now.

I finally opened a set of the Platoon figures and realized I am really grooving on the kneeling legs they are offering. I hope they will continue to give us both articulated limbs and others in different postures.

I am hoping to find the prone DAK figure soon to check out his neck action.

If that's the case, I'm seriously bumming out... I collect action figures, not statues. I'm gonna really be less into XD if they're going to a more statue-like toy line for figures. I mean, if that's the case, why collect these? Why not get into 1:32 or 1:35 which are generally much more detailed little statues, and more affordable.
I agree! I will pass them up if this is the case.

Add me to the "Passing them up" list too if the articulation is gone.

why would the articulation be gone? Bauer still has it. I know I'm getting the Machine gunner no matter what but I would suspect all still have articulated legs.

They do, I'm sure. I think people are just riding on negative assumptions.

It really doesn't make sense that they wouldn't have the articulated legs. Considering all of the figures to have the sculpted limbs still come with the articulated ones as well.

All of you "I'll pass them up" guys might want to wait till we see actual pics of the figure first before you pass judgement.

Has anyone else spotted these figures?

Are they ONLY at WM?
Anyone find them @ TRU?

So far, gk is the ONLY person I've heard of to find them. I've not even seen them on Ebay...which is weird.

I really want to find one of these prone DAK guys as well. I haven't been to my TRU in about a month. Who knows, there could be XD and 32X up the wahoo! (always my assumption when I haven't been hunting)

The machine gunner as well looks really good. I like these new molded legs. I also don't see why they wouldn't come with regular legs. My Charlie Sheen came with both. Although he's displayed on his molded legs, with an M79.

So far I've not heard a description to say the figures all have articulated legs though Dig, and that's what I've gone off of since, well, there's no photos and nobody has really come in to confirm they do have articulated legs as well as pre-posed...

Here's GK's post:
The machine gunner has molded legs in a sitting position and the sniper has the reular molded legs.
These came right out of the blue as I went to WM looking for the IJ Russians of which I picked up 6. It was a regular motherlode!
He notes one figure has "regular molded legs" (articulated?) while the other has sitting position molded legs... Not sure how to take that other than one has poseable legs while one may not...

I don't think anyone has jumped to a conclusion though on it. Just going off what's being reported. The lack of them showing up everywhere isn't unheard of in this hobby though... I recall Platoon figures were found very sporadically at first then the deluge.

Anyway... I'm hopeful they do have the articulated legs, as that's my preferred display, however I'm waiting to hear from someone with them or someone to take a photo... Without poseable legs though, I'd certainly be buying less of them.

No kidding. The only XD I have seen is the DD German officer with closed coat. No lie, if I had bought 100 there would still be more on the pegs in my AO.

I said I would pass them up IF the figures having no articulation turned out to be the case. I don't just gobble up every scrap 21st throws my way because it's better than nothing. Same with K&C armor, they look great and offer tons of models not seen in 1:32 but I don't collect statues.

Don't get me wrong though, if these guys have a separate set of articulated legs like they do with arms then I will definitely get some.

Both the sniper and machine gunner each have poseable & molded legs.
Sorry about no pictures, I,m not a computer genius.
If someone wants to email me (lkuepfert@aol.com) I will have the wife email pics to you and you can post them.

I knew it. 21st knows better than THAT. They may make many other decisions in bad taste, but I knew they wouldn't dispose of poseable legs. :D Can't wait to see these. My US guys need some back up.

What would really make this line shine would be a Russian sniper. Oh, toy gods...

Thanks GK and also thanks Razor... Appreciate the pictures and information.

These do indeed look outstanding to me, and I'll be nabbing quite a few in the coming days. Love 21st figures of this quality. I've been hankerin' for new U.S. guys too now for a while as we've been out of those for months.

Great figures, even if the "Sniper" is anything but. :) He's a dandy rifleman.

New Figures

Post by gk5717 » Tue Jun 03, 2008 2:16 pm

I for the life of me cannot figure out how these figures showed up in my area. I went to the WalMart in Eureka, Mo. a far suburb of St Louis.
The only reason I went there is my grandson had a ballgame near by.
My wife jumped on me for makeing the extra stop and as I was looking for the IJ Russians I spotted some 21st on the pegs, and just gave them a quick look, and there they were.
I was in a hurry with the wife waiting in the car and being mad, that I picked up 2 of each. I don,t know if there were more or not as I,m sure by now they are all gone. Then as stated I found 6 IJ Russians as they must have just put those out.
Here I was carrying and dropping about 11 packages, as I did not have a cart, hurrying trying to get to a checkout.
Well we made it to the game on time so all was well, except my grandson struck out 3 times.
I still find it strange that no one else are reporting finding these.

GK,
You are in the same boat with good company on the subject of how Walmart distributes it's product.

Good find.
If you offer up any of your extras of these new figures on the board here, I am sure you would have some takers!

That Stg looks like the Dragon Stg...much better detail than their past attempts at that rifle.

I just wish the figure had the ammo pouches for it, and not the K98 pouches.
