man these things are a major bargain at $39. I'm surprised a) that they're even available at TRU and b) that their regular retail is actually LESS than WM's.

Let's all count our blessings; i was afraid it was the end of retail 1/18 planes altogether.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Thanks for the tip Rogo. I got the Stuka. The others were still there.

I envy you members that can count your blessings that you have an available TRU in your AO. The one here in Bellingham, closed shop last year and the closest now is about 89+ miles south of here. With gas prices as they are now, a recon becomes more expensive than the planes themselves. Talk about 1:18 drought. The only small WM here will not be carrying many 21st stuff at all according to Toy Dept Manager.

It seems that it's hit or miss with the 21st 1/18 aircraft at TRU. Of the 5 I hit only 2 had planes.

Which TRU in the Pittsburgh area. Cranberry had none and Monaca had PH p-40, Mig, P-52 Flying Undertaker and F 104 Smoke. Boxes were all very dusty like they sat in a warehouse or WM for a couple months

W'eve recently seen at TRU the flying undertaker p-51, seeman me-109, desert stukas, PH p-40s, migs, f-104s, and bunker hill corsairs, etc.

Did 21st have that much overstock left - I doubt they got em at cost from walmarts. Many, many posts ago, we guessed about how much quantity was produced of a certain scheme or plane- how many thousands. I only found 3 104 smokes and only 1 flying undertaker etc between about 10 walmarts, if this is par for the course across the US, did walmart really move that many planes for 21st? Maybe the average walmart customer is not obviously a 21st cust, toy or collectorwise. Do ya think 21st still has sh..loads of these repaints to move?

Haven't seen any of the 1:18 21c planes at my two local TRUs yet. I don't expect them to show for a while, if at all. (It did take over 3 months for the M17 trailers to make a showing...) However, as the planes are all re-releases, I'm in no rush

Are you saying planes that go for $100 on ebay and are long sold out at small retailers are collecting dust somewhere? Why wouldn't BCA, MTS, SmallJoes and others buy them and sell them if 21C had them?

Hey- just a little wishfull thinkin.. some early morning banter.. what do you or I know about the e-tailers specific product relationship with 21st-
The current preorder stuff at BCA almost always shows at Walmart and TRU for the most part first, so who knows? And the stuff showing up at TRU has been out for quite a while anyway-

I suppose that last sentence of mine in my previous post is somewhat smarmy- so if it agitates you, have some more coffee and enjoy the morning.

no..

It didn't agitate me, just wanted you to know that it is wishful thinking. The Etailers are not fools, if 21C was sitting on a bunch of Winter 109s trust me the online shops would want them.

Oh, and I certainly don't need any more coffee in the morning..
