Darn it! Now you got me interested in figures again! I was getting one of each just to keep on the card, but now I have to get dupes. Thanks for nothing! ;)

It's not enough to get one of each. I have to buy 2 of each figure who has 2 different head sculps so I have enough bodies to display all the different faces.

I bought a couple more panzer crew and swapped heads. My Mk IV is looking good! With all of the additional heads and equipment, there sure is a lot to do. This is fun! I just wish the US crews had removable helmets as well. I have a crew of clones.... :?

Uh-oh, Ski... :D ...now you know how it starts... :P
Since 21st had the removable tank helmet from the S2 COED I'm surprised we didn't see it with BOB II. Maybe they have a new US tank crewman in the works...which I actually wouldn't mind. My shermans also have a cloned crew.. :?

What's COED?

Are your tank crews from the BOB1 set?

COED is the name of the S-2 Marine camo Sherman. The figures are BOB2 ones with the swappable heads. This crew had a lot of binoculars, hehehe....

I'm with you on getting the Tanker figures & headswapping, Teamski. I got a full crew for my Tiger, then for the Panzer IV and then the Panther.

My Shermans also have the clone crew problem. However, at least on the M-41 (which has a full crew) here's how I solved it:
The commander has an infantry helmet with goggles & wears binoculars (sort of inspired by the 32x commander figure), one crewman has the old S1 M-41 tanker head on the BoB body, one crewmember is the BoB US Tanker but with a moustache painted on, and the fourth is an unaltered BoB Tanker 8)

i solve the army of clones problem by looking at my figures with my glasses off. They're all just a blur anyway...
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Why don't you guys use BBI guys parts, or is it impossible to mish-mash BBI and XD parts?

Most of the BBI heads modern/WWII fit great on XD bodies. Sometimes there is a little modification needed. But the BBI heads really give the XD more realism... Not to knock the XD headsculpts - but it's nice to have a different face on a familiar body...

TKO well mate thank`s for all the help is showing the Upcoming new figures to us all.

I`ve been very impressed with what I`ve seen so far with both US & German figures. Also Excellent to see a New German Officer is coming out too.

So any idea when we could expect to see the last batch of figures being released,as we`ve yet to see the DAK troops & maybe other surprises. I`m thinking 21st are saving the BEST till LAST :D

Also as for the mention to Razor that 21st are indeed planning carded acc`s sets & head sets, that`s GREAT & about time too, when you think 21st have catered for the 1/6th collectors in this fashion for sometime now.

Again Thank`s mate for everything to date & looking forward to the other`s being shown soon.

For those of you that are doing the BBI to 21c headswap, are you able to do this and still have them able to turn their heads? I've mastered the headswap from within brands where (in the case of BBI) there are still some problems when using older and newer figures but whenever I swap using heads from a different companies the head is usually crazy-glued in place for good. He looks good in the end but he ain't lookin' around for enemies (or hotties) with his head frozen in place.

"have catered for the 1/6th collectors "

Good point SB.. :D

It's pretty funny to consistantly see newly released 1/6th weapons and accessory packs at Walmart buried in the middle of all the 32x and 18x items.

Not sure if 21C is implying that the 1/18th boys need to use bigger guns Manga style or what? There sure aren't any 1/6th troops on the shelf to hold those babies. :D

It depends - not just on the peg size but the length of the figures neck (which often depends on his uniform and body armor). The 21C USMC have relatively long necks so while you can chave the peg to have a swivel head on a bbi Para, his neck be a bit giraffe like (although all people are different so it is not that absurd). In general there is no easy answer - some Dragon heads appear to BIG, so even if you get a good swap they might still look stupid. Some modern bbi guys have little to no neck, so they may only look good on certain figures. But yes, you can get good fits without glue, a little shave being the most likely need. Here you can see bbi head on all 3 figs, no glue, no shave:

i remember awhile back everyone was going crazy that they were going to make platoon figures.
im now guessing that none of the new figures are them i believe its been said that these will all be ww2.
ny update on those platoon figures?
or the michael wittman tank they said was coming soon, will it have a wittman figure? or a cool new tank commander figure at all?

I remember they were suppose to be released in spring of 2006 and they had A"a bridge too far," toys on the way, but instead we got those OMG figs that weren't too great. I kinda feel now that 21st is becoming like Hasbro. I sure hope they don't repeat mistakes like having a D-day shoot on an OMG period figure. I guess if we don't pay attention to the new names on the OMG figs, we can imagine they are the guys from the first wave and that they survived to fight in OMG, but the D-day shoot is too much of a stretch..

@tko211: Do you have any idea when you will get the pictures of the last 6 figures? I'n really looking forward to them.

I hope we will see some more camo germans or Fallschirmjäger. For me the hottest figure already shown is the D-Day german infantry. It would be cool to have 1-2 figures more with the same camo patterns, because this infantry guy will be hard to get. It's the ultimate figure for headswaps and troop building. 1-2 more of these guys (maybe with a MG 42 or a STG 44) would be cool because they would make the troop building alot easier.
