I found the instructions!! Flip the plane over and look around the nose gear. You have to aufbocken the bugrad! I mean.. sheesh!

Yeah, that aufbocken can really mess you up if you're not careful. And the schleppen... ouch...

It's nice that they do tell you to not tow by the nose wheel, and where to support the nose, though...

Hey Admiral Toys and Jason, if you start making 1/18 vehicles, us groundpounders won't complain about the pilots being inferior!  Just build the armor, we'll supply the crew! All kidding aside, keep up the great work :!:

What if AT did not make pilots and saved the plastic goo for a more detailed cockpit. :D

If you did go down that road and offered more detail in the cockpit putting a pilot in it would probably damage the levers and switches in it any ways.

I mean who needs a pilot any ways….lol GO UAV!!!!!!

Multiple 262 photos are posted on Admirals site and in the SSHQ database.

Here is a close up of the UHF (?) antenna underneath the wire for the main one.

Here are some shots of the mystery antenna. Mine was with the pilot and the bag containing the screws and screwhole covers.

I dont think it's supposed to be any kind of pitot tube.

I think it's just a way to keep it from tipping backwards when the gear is down. Sometimes plastic models have such "cheats" unless you weight the nose.

It's not a cheat. I have pics of 262's with this downward pitot installed. Admiral got it right!

Ill be danged.

Pitot tubes generally point forward into the airstream.
Though some aircraft have a blade with static port on it as well.

I am curious to learn more.

Could you post? Would it work installed like this?

The underwing item you are referring to is a fuG16ZY transceiver antenna, this item was carried on most late war Luftwaffe aircraft and some post war derivatives as well. It is a detail that should also have been included with the 21stCT Fw190D.

The loop on top of the fuselage is associated with the direction finding (DF) equipment and is often referred to as a DF Loop, this is the same kind of loop antenna which is located on the lower fuselage of the Dora.

Spud's 100% correct. You can see this antenna on one of the replicas:

Interesting.. On that photo not only is the one AT included shown but there appears to be a pitot tube (?) on the tip of the right wing.. and. a second antenna just behind the right landing wheel attached to the belly.

Wonder if those are unique to the replica or also accurate touches based on the original?

::edit:: Thanks Spud, I corrected my original posts.

The pitot tube should be on the port side wing (right side from the front) with the drop antenna underneath the fuselage on the starboard side (left side), as shown in the photo.. The extra "pitot" under the fuselage is probably for this A/C only..
