I know it will look abit out of sorts in my collection of 1/16 armor but what is my alternative? are there resin conversion kits to make a Hummel or Nashorn in 1/16??
None that I know of but would like one myself. You might as well get the Bandai for whatever the price is, it'll definitely be cheaper than a 1/16 tank PLUS the resin kit.

Even if it is a Hummel.

I like the hummel, and the Nashorn but Im affraid that sitting it next to my 1/16 collection may be bad, 1/16 tanks really dwarf 1/18 and it seems that 1/15 dwafs 1/16 about the same. One scale makes a huge difference in these large scales.

If that is they are correct.

Heck, set them apart! I do and won't miss out just over scale!

Have everything from my 1/6 Stuart to 1/72 FOV and everything in between all displayed together. Just too many good pieces I would miss by collecting only one scale.

Really, I have 2 1/72 RC tanks sitting right next to a 1/18 Bradley. Look at model shows and they do the same!

Chaos, we need more chaos! I display my 1/18 cars with identical (close as I can get) 1/64 cars next to them.

First I have heard about a metal professional edition of the KT. More than I will pay to get those particular metal parts. Whats odd is that I can't find anything on the site about the regular model without all the metal parts. Looks good anyway.

Mixing scales too much chaos?

My 1/18 WC-52 in the back of my 1/6 WC-52:

Now what I need is a 1/72 WC-52 in the back of my 1/18 WC-52, and of course my 1/6 WC-52 sitting in the back of a 1/1 WC-52....

This tank arrived today from China, it is very well detailed and I am very happy with it, sometime soon I will take it out of the box and the Heng long early version out of the box and take pics of them together.

I will be adding the late war stamped wheels and zimm to this tank and then it should be a very nice late war Tiger I

So I was in my local Hobbytown USA store again yesterday chatting with my buddy who is in charge of all the small scale military goodies. I inquire about the 1:16 Henlong tanks on the shelf and next thing you know (to the surprise of a couple customers), we're driving a Tiger around on the floor that lights up and discharges smoke out its exhaust pipes. Got to say I loved everything about what the tank had to offer, only thing is that 1:16 is a scale for which I have NO other vehicles. But I'm inching closer...

If you really want a nice collection its the way to go, the RC thing is just a fun plus to me. I just wish that there was a line of support vehicles and mech infantry made for 1/16, so far only main battle tanks. If Im wrong someone please tell me! All I have found as far as support vehicles are very pricey resin kits that cost a fortune to buy and ship from Europe.

There's the WaSan halftrack, otherwise you have summed things up right in the lower priced area. There are 1/16 figures coming too from Waltersons who have exclusive rights to a new line of products manufactured by Heng Long for them.

Tman, a good thing to get into... The support 1:18 stuff looks good next to the 1:16 tanks too though. But 1:16 tanks are addictive... If I could, I'd have every one made by Heng Long from WW2.

The thing that can really get you with the 1/16 is the large amount of accessories available for customizing. You can get a lot invested in a 1/16 tank pretty quick. Start adding metal barrels, muzzle brakes, mud flaps, equipment, exhaust pieces, not to mention metal treads, and it can add up very quick. I picked up a metal infrared light to mount on a Panther but haven't got around to working on it yet. Its not the infrared that's part of the electronics, just a metal replica of the light used on night fighting Panthers.

Here is a nice line drawing of what it looks like. Its obviously not quit that detailed though. I know I got it from England or Germany. It comes in several pieces. I will try to find where I ordered it from and post it later. I was actually going to use it on a 1/18 Panther. Unless you used a micrometer to measure it with, I just can't see that you could tell which scale it was.

Mato Toys has them listed as well, the ebay is canadian, so it's likely the same store front. I emailed Mato and asked about them getting the Hooben T55 and Elefant and any other new HL Tanks.

1/18 and 1/16 manufacteurs should be coming out of Hiberation so hopefully we'll see a lot more items.

if that paintjob is the actual way it comes, it's not bad. Quite usable. However, knowing Henglong, the real tank you buy won't look anywhere near that good.
