TKO211-
Nice to see you!

Thanks for the information and photo.

Do you know at this time will 21st Century be issuing these dual packs with opposing forces?

German vs American
US Marine vs Japanese
US Vietnam Soldier vs Vietcong

Or will all the ones to be issued going to be variations on one theme - in this case the peadot smock in 2 different colors?

Keep that news coming - our ears, eyes and wallets are open...

The sub gun on the left looks like a Schmeisser MP-41. Not perfect, but close.

I know that there are other dualpacks in the works for sure. I could easily see this as a platform for enemy vs. packs! With the one being shown now it's more of a "team member" or Army builder idea.

I will try to get additional information on these over the next few days as I communicate with them on the rest of the news items as well. The next news item willl not be 1:18... We can't forget the smaller scales. Don't worry though, we will see more stuff on 1:18. -Trust me!

Beretta 38a, same weapon that the original Fallshirmjager Schnitzel and the newer DAK Newnnhaus came with.

Grunts correct, its a Beretta. I would like to see some more MP-40s with the German figures.
TKO, welcome back  Great news on the "dulepacks" It was back on Mar. 16 '07 I had asked you about the 2 pack (Direct from the Source) or as 21st called it XD-Opposing Forces. I like this "team member" idea more so then the Opposing Forces. My collection is kind of one sided more German than U.S. But for those starting out enemy vs packs or Opposing what ever their going to call them will be very welcomed by the collectors.
Would you know if any of the figures will be in full(jacket-pants) camo? Oh and my King Tiger... hows that coming along?

TKO,

Has 21st fixed the problem of missing peg holes on these guys? I like fully equipped soldiers, not having to choose to plug in a breadbag or e-tool

I like the 2-packs a lot, very slick, but I'm wondering what they'll cost.

In the case of SW figures, 2-packs usually mean less money... Is there a plan for these to chime in around $8 or so? That'd be right slick if that was the case TK... Or less. ;)

I like the idea of Vs. Packs too... It coudl be THE way to get more nationalities mixed in... Imagine a German Parade with a French Resistance fighter, a Russian Infantry with Cold Weather German Infantry, a German Tanker w/US Tanker, a D-Day US Infantry or Ranger w/German MG-42 Soldier...

Or...

German Mortar Team... German MG team... US .30 Cal. Team... Those ideas really strike me as a good way to take the 2-pack's. A couple guys and a mortar makes a lot of sense. :)

Or...

Pilot & Groundcrew... Bomber Crew 2-pack... Food for thought.

I talked with Roy tonight a little more about these "Dualpacks". To answer some questions... Yes there will indeed be more team packs with guys from the same side as well as the enemy or vs. idea. Roy wouldn't share all the details just yet but I did find out that we can plan on seeing some US team members, WWII US vs. WWII German, and something else as a 2 pack he said that would later be revealed.

Like I said it wan't too much detial but it gives us an idea of what is in store. Now we just need em "in-stores"

Yes! As much as I like the Otto's, the .VS idea or team idea would make a lot more sense than a pair of repaints. Less risk of Mommy saying "Don't you already have that guy" as well.

Awesome way to get little pieces like a maxim mg, vickers, bren, recoilless, pak 38, nebelwerfer, whatever.. in there..

1/18 please

Post by ARMY GROUP 1 » Fri Sep 28, 2007 4:32 am

TKO, over 10,000 views for 4 non wwii figures & 1/6 th item. Now finally a ray of interest for me, in 2 pak's, I certainly want a number of those pea-dot Germans. Personally I really like the era 1943/45 due to vast variety of German vehicles coming on stream, improvements in such vehicles & uniforms associated with this period. The KT fits in nicely here, so please do not make it the last thing to offer us, as I feel everyone has been very patient & should not have to go another month of waiting on the basis of leaving the best until last. Heavens knows how long we will have to wait before these will hit the shelves, like the Pak40 halftrack, 12 months. I know its selfish, but I hate the idea of 21ST wasting all that time and effort in making a 1/6 gun/rifle and hope its not at the expense of some 1/18 item (sorry 1/6th collectors). Ok, bring on the 1/32, but please follow up with the best of the 1/18 to give us a true lift and I promise to still get excited about the remaining posts after that.

TKO,
No , not interested :? hold back on the 1/32 news save it or stow it away. The real news is in 1/18 scale be it planes or tanks.

Jesse James' ideal is very solid. 21st Century already has this team concept in place with the 1/32 packs. BBI has already given us the 1 man with heavy weapons concept. I for one love to get all the little extra stuff with a figure. If you include 2-3 figures for a team with all the extas like Grunt mentioned above that would be awesome!

BRING IT ON 21st Century!!!
