From where I'm at, and from what I see showing up is this :

The WMs down here seem to keep 1:18th figures in stock, except the closest one by where I live, but it's a dive there. Nothing new in over 4 weeks and they're excuse is that they are waiting for the Christmas stocking for their toy dept. I don't understand why the other WMs keep figures in stock :? I see lots of planes, but only jets in 1:18th, lots of 1/32nd, but no 1/18th vehicles. There is 1/6th weapons too. Yet I haven't seen ANY new 1/18th figures at any WM down here :(

TRU seems to be getting in the new 1/18th Ottos in the Peadot paint, I buy all I can find because I'm trying to outfit a couple platoons of them for tank support. One TRU has a couple Hanomags w/the Pk40, but keeps them way up on a self outta reach. They also have lots of 1/32 and the 1/6th weapons.

Target seems to carry lots of 1/32 and some smaller stuff, but doesn't carry any 1/18th anymore. Too bad, I really liked shopping there and don't think I will do much anymore because of their seemingly anti 1/18th trend

I haven't tried the Kmarts, but I don't think they carry 21st Cent.
Don't know where else to look for the 1/18th. Seems lately, I can only bleed payin' top $$$ and beyond on evil bay for anything.

As far as the "flood", could it be problems internally at 21st Cent. ???
Could it be that the "new" items are the latest victims of the dreaded yellow lead scare :?: Think of the cost to have all that product shipped back over the pond to be remade because of the wrong paint  I too like most of you are waiting for reinforcements. I need 6 Kongstigers and 4 88 guns to start as well as plenty of new men to man these beasties. It may be also that they are holding everything on the announcements until the products are at the stores, then placing them out the day after Turkey day with a big promotion. Think of the feeding frenzy that will cause   Many of us will miss out as the dreaded Evil bay horders swarm the stores to buy it all up, then put it out on evil bay at a price that's 3 fold or more

I dunno, it could be many things causing the delay. Has anyone heard of any container ships sinking in the Pacific ??? There's always that one. We used to see these kind of problems in the G scale train market too. Delays and postponements. THis happened to LGB before they went under, but I don't think 21st Cent. is in any trouble, so forget that one. I'm afraid this is one we'll have to wait out. Hopefully, we'll be rewarded, not only with the new products they've promised, but with more new announcement of what's to come. It's tough, but I'm going to try Real hard(real, real, real hard) to be patient and wait this out. In fact, I'm going to E-mail a distributor I order from and pre-order the KTs and 88s. Hopefully they will do it for me. Later folks, The General

well, from the WM sticky, reports are continuing to come in that XD is finished at WM. That plus the silence in this thread is quite foreboding.

Sure would be nice to have a comment from 21c sometime real soon.

Actually, something else that I have noticed that has me a bit more concerned that the WM situation (knowing WM's distribution system, they are just debating which 7 Alaskan WMs to ship their entire stock of Me-262s to) is that I don't think I have seen a single e-tailer listing the Pak-40 Hanomag or the Quad trailer. Which would further support the TRU exclusive theory, but usually e-tailers have started seeing stuff a month or two after WM (and often sooner). Which could indicate this is a REAL exclusive, which would seem to limit numbers quite a bit. Plus my local TRU hasn't restocked on any 1/18 except figures. So maybe 21st is taking a cue from Admiral and moving towards lower production quantities for collectibility?

Everyone here knows how much wally loves us collectors, not to mention how much they "adore" X/D. Btw, I just had an epiphany...Maybe wally is upset about the 21st/TRU merger. :? They can't stand for toy compitition.

That is not true. It appears XD AC are done at Wally. WM got the latest wave of figures (Otto S3 and Dday repaints), so no need to think they won't get the next wave. Let's not spread more misinfo..

Good to hear that WM got the figures.....i did not realize that. Somewhat promising. But even if it's just a/c dead at WM that is a very, very big deal.

smarta$$. I thought I was the voice of negativity around here ;)

Although WM not carrying new AC would be a pretty big bite for 21st--and for collectors, since the prices essentially just went up at least $10 (which gets them closer to their real value, IMHO). We'll see. Like I said, my local WM just got a major restock of 1/18 AC, mostly stuff they hadn't had before. Nothing new, but with nothing new available anyway (the Me-262 hasn't been out long enough to make it through the WM distribution process, and if they carry it, they may hold back with it until Christmas season REALLY starts (not the frakkin Christmas village crap mixed in with the Halloween stuff that is already in store--pretty soon, stores will put out Christmas decor the moment Easter is over).

No kidding dude! I've always loved Christmas and all the decorations and women drunk off eggnog but this is insane! Maybe next year the kiddies will get their pictures taken with the Zombie-Santa Bunny. Get China on the phone and tell them we need 50000 more Zombie dudes that pull their head off and talk when you press the button! Oh, and see how we can work that into a Christmas scheme!

As for this 21st situation....

Yeah my WM got S3 figures and some 1:32... Figures and stuff seem to be getting more space, but if they were written off at this point they'd have been off the plan-o-gram all together I think, so I'm not concerned on it being dead.

I think planes may get scaled back somewhat though... I know the plane guys may not want to hear that, but if your areas are like mine, planes are dead weight unless they're kept very slim pickin's... We've been swimming in some of the same aircraft for going on 2 or 3 years. Hell, AA choppers anyone?

Where is TKO? -Ducking for cover in my foxhole!

You guys have been very patient since 21st announced that a flood of news is on the way. In fact, it still is coming! So what's to blame for the slow up when it all started?

An unscheduled trip to China for the Product Development manager to oversee production of our beloved toys! I got the call yesterday that the trip was successful and that much of the hard work in the last 6 months is about to pay off. AREA-21 has been told that we will be supplied with a stream of photos and other tidbits on a more regular basis for the next few weeks.

As promised, we will see some new 1:32 pieces, 1:18 scale updates, sneek peeks at Special Edition packaging, new 1:144 scale, and much more. Fresh off the press and first off, AREA-21 just posted a new article announcing NEW DUALPACK ACTION FIGURE SETS! -check it out!... I have to run off now again. I need to prep another article I just got!

-TKO (now out of the foxhole and ready to lob some grenades)

wow, the first dual pack looks delicious. What is the weapon on the left, some kind of sub machine gun. Is it a russian ppsh with straight clip?
