LOL!! :D

Guess it's nice to be considered "experts" at something. ;)

The "peed my pants" comment made sense in the original thread, but sent me over the edge when I saw it quoted at BCA..

Too funny...

Enjoy, well sort of, since the airplane is still wrapped up, BUT:

Jason, I got my ME-262 just the other day and must say, I’m very impressed by it. It is one of my personal favorite aircraft in 1:18.

I also wanted to mention just how fantastic your customer service is. I opened my plane up the other day and noticed that the 8 on the left side of the fuselage was badly smeared. I purchased the plane through Bad Cat but decided to ask your customer service if there was anything that could be done to rectify the problem. About 15 min later Trey emailed me back and said as soon as they got some more in they would take care of it, free of charge to me. Now that’s customer service!!! Thank you Jason and Admiral Toys. I’m looking forward to my next purchase. :D :D

I think if you email them (or call them), they will probably adjust the quote or remove it completely....

While it is pleasant to be quoted in a site like BCA's, especially about something as fine as the Me-262, the last line "The experts have spoken".

Wow, BCA calls me an "expert"? With my entire air-force consisting of one other plane and a helo. I am impressed. If I'm an "expert", what do they call you guys.....I mean the guys with four or five planes? Nobody has any more than that, do they?? I mean where would they put them? 8)

1/16 ground vehicle 16

If it's meant to fly it's hanging from the ceiling. Otherwise they're on shelves scattered around.

I have every 1:18 scale aircraft that each of the companies has made including repaints (minus one or two repaints from the beginning of this hobby) I guess I could be an expert  I have no problem with BCA quoting me if it will help sell more of Admiral's products and keep them in the game! :D (let's think big picture here guys and not get side tracked

Well, I finally got my ME-262 today. I am pleased with the plane and it is a fine piece of workmanship :D

Now, I'm not usually a complainer about my products, but the package arrived in horrible shape! One whole corner end of the box was crushed, and it is pretty much at a loss. Luckily, the plane wasn't seriously damaged. This is not Admiral Toys fault as I would think they would not have sent something in a box that damaged. The culpability rests entirely with UPS  I know that my package has sat around somewhere over the weekend and had been in Ca. for nearly 4 days before arriving at my doorstep. It was surely at some point in this long delay that the box got damaged...

The aircraft was in decent shape considering what happened to the box, save that an engine nacele was popped slightly out of alignment and the droop antenna was not to be found anywhere (I shook out the plastic trays and tissue paper with no luck). The engine was easily fixed and the antenna is no serious loss. One more thing, however - the four screw hole covers for the screws on the wing are missing! Looking at photos of other boardmember's planes posted on this thread has alerted me to that problem.

My commendation to Admiral Toys for biting the bullet and producing such a neat plane, but I will be contacting their customer service. Looks like I got the defective one

I won't ship with UPS for a while, however!

Guys.....I was making a joke.....I wasn't starting a hissing war over who has what.

I'll go head to head with anyone if that's what you want to:

A drawer full of real little guys, various small scales
!/32 - about 25 vehicles and four planes
1/18 - about 30 vehicles and my airforce of three (two planes/one helo)
1/6 - 35 vehicles including my big pieces (6 tanks, 3 trucks, 2 WSC's) and my airforce of one helo and about 60 figures.

Any idea how much room six 1/6 tanks take up?

Oh, and currently two 1/1 military trucks.

Lighten up guys, this is a fun hobby and a fun site.

ME 262 Slats Problem

Post by wolf8564 » Fri Dec 01, 2006 8:47 am

 Has Anyone else have the problem of the 2 halves of the wings not meeting completely and haveing a large gap between them. It allows for the slat to fold up and also when the slat is in the back position the holes for the slat braces show?

How's everyone displaying their 262? I have mine hanging from the ceiling using dental floss, in a dogfight with my FW-190D against my P-51 and a Spitfire.

I lowered the landing gear and found that I had to take the front wheel cover off to get the strut to come out. DO NOT TRY TO FORCE IT OUT!!! It was tricky popping out the screw covers, but I did it with a small Xacto blade. The tolerances are so close on mine that the paint on it prevented it from coming out. Not a big issue, as I will probably leave mine in the wheels up position.

I have the ladder from the F-16 next to the open cannon compartment with a few technicians working on the aircraft.
I also have a 1:18 BMW German staff car with the pilot waiting for the technicians to finish up

I originally had it on a stand with the gear retracted but my cat knocked it on the ground, it fell about 6 feet, but for the most part it's all right. The only damage was the front windscreen broke off with one of the tabs sheared off, and the canopy has some scratches on it due to the fall.

Normally my cats like to see all of my aircraft up close and are always around when I unpack them from the boxes, "they like to climb in them" they are normally good cats and they never mess with my stuff like this before.
