Found the kneeling DAK Machinegunner figure at TRU today. I bought a couple, and like the legs feature.
Haven't seen anything else new in the Wal Marts I've checked. Just a bunch of the tanned D-Day figures and 32x Bf-109Fs

Got the Bruno (with prone head) and DAK range finder guy at WalMart today.
They had 2 more Brunos, some DAK kneeling MG guys, and at least one more DAK range finder. I didn't buy them all up so someone else could get what they need.

I've been cleaning out 2-packs to hopefully make room for the new DAK 2-packs at some point. Plus they were starting to dwindle some so I thought I better get my army building fix while I can on the "good deal" as it were.

Why did 21st make the Platoon figures

was there a big demand for 21st to make these
No one is buying them, i wish they were never made.

With 21c getting back into the Vietnam era, figures based on the movie
Platoon do not seem that far-fetched. If anything, 21c was trying to boost the sales and marketability of their new figures. The only downside is that they are being sold through Wal Mart, which with its craptacular distribution system, has sent tons of the figures to some parts of the country while other areas have yet to see them...

The WM on Hurstbourne, Westport, Fern Creek, and outer loop here in Louisville, Ky all have full sets of Platoon figures, and sometimes the sun burned Germans.
No dual packs, new DAK, or Bruno.

About the best thing I found with the Platoon figures is that I used the heads for transplants in the 21st and FOV guys, then I transfered them over to one of our memebers that models the VN theater

I am also coming across the kneeling German DAK MG, Artillery figure, and Bruno Bauer figures...there appears to be a pretty good distribution of them at this time.

Yes, they are out west

I saw all three figures at the Fresno, CA TRU. I picked up two of the DAK machinegunners and three of the Bruno Bauer figures, but left the DAK Artillery spotter. I may go back for one, but only for the headsculpt and legs... That was last Friday.

Cool, I can't wait to see them up here. I received one of the new VN figures with the sculpted legs as a bonus in a trade with a fellow board member and I must say this feature is way cool. I can't wait to get my hands on more.
Tman or anyone else on the West coast, have you seen any of the dual packs?

I have not seen any of the Dual Packs, nor the Platoon figures, in my area. The new DAK and Infantry figures I found at TRU. All of my local Wal Marts have the pegs overflowing with those second-series D-Day figures with the dark-tanned skin and lighter uniforms.

Still no dual packs but the walmart in Uniondale had a few Werhmacht Rifleman, kneeling DAK MG and DAK Artillery figures. All the other walmarts in the area only have Platoon figs.

I wish some of the overflow of the Platoon figs would find their way here in Northern CA.

Perhaps they should transfer figures from here to the Western front and figures from over there to the Eastern front

Old news for most of the country but to give hope to our west coast members, I just found and purchased a second set of Platoon figures tonight. They have not seen general distribution to all the WMs in my AO, and seem to be only a single case at at time but they are making their way to us.
No we just need the VN, DAK w/ moulded legs, two packs and now the MG gunner and sniper.

These still haven't shown at any of the six Wal Marts in my area, though there are a couple further afield that I should go and check. No real worry, though as I did get a set from a fellow boardmember from that region of the country where those figures are in abundance (along with seemingly everything else

) Nice figures!
