Figs sell pretty good in SW MO and NW AR as well. We too are overrun with mainly 32xw aircraft that most saw 6-7 months ago in their AO's. Later is better than never I guess.

Unless you already bought them from fellow members because they never showed up!!!
Some of these I probably should have waited to see if they would show but I have little patience and a strong impulse buy driving me..

For those in the Houston AO, The WM on 59S in Missouri City (I think its the Willcrest exit) still has tons of 1/18s. Saw some PH P-40s, OC and BBD P-51s, Canadian F-104, and a couple of Migs.
Happy Hunting!

Finally went back to WM after a couple weeks vacation - and found something I havnt seen in a year -
fade in music
FW-190D-9 - Michaelski in a dusty busted box for $15
they had a second but the guns were broken off and also had a busted Blue 12
I remember this store had tons of these back in the day but they finally left about the same time the spitfires left and I remember the toy manager explaining they had all been sent back to the manufacturer because of the breaks etc.
It was funny because I walked past them and did a classic double take.
Was the Michaelski had to find? Was there supposed to be a number on it? toywise or historically? Just wondering.....

I am pretty sure that this rendetion of the FW190 is historicly correct.

I'm here in northern North Carolina and a WM is right next to the hotel we are staying in. So.....I did the scouting thing and BINGO!!! There are three P-51 (Undertaker), three F-104 (Smoke II), five F-104 (Luft) and five ME-109G6 (White 9)....all are in very good condition and $25.00 each.

Picked up a Me 109 Night Fighter tonight in a busted box and missing pilot talked the man down to $15.00 - The screw may be missing to attach the wing - Ill figure that out later when I get home from work - keep on the lookout - this is the second beat up box find that was supposed to have already gone to the manufacturer.
also found Japanese marines on clearance - with the red sticker for $5.00 a bit higher than the D day figures and Tankers. I think Ill wait for them to go back to full price.
And is it just me? or does every new s3 Otto have his eyes rolled back in his head? Eyes rolled, fake bake tan, hair the same color as his skin......

Last night I was shocked to find that I hit the Jackpot at WM on Hwy 27. I walked out with 12 German troops, most the new paint. Most of the other WMs I check have been keeping a fair stock of the 1/18 figures. Da General

Out of the blue one of my Walmarts had a stack of P-51s (Old Crow and BBD) along with a few PH P-40s, F-104s and Migs...all for $25. I think they put all these in back and because so many of the toys have sold out they are using anthing to fill up the empty slots.
My stores are wiped out of stuff.

Hopefully after Christmas they drop even lower. $15 would be nice.

A local Walmart has brought the old unsellable 1/18th AC back out again-I guess the homie stuff and misc rc crap just flew off the shelves and left -too much open space. The 104s and P-51s are back- I got another crack at the BBD, 25.00, no less. I still have the 1st BBD hanging (ugh)- would ya buy the remake even though you'll get loose flaps, at least one loose landing gear cover, a canopy with the fragile hooks at the front-
Yeah, I guess I'll get it too- what do ya do with the 1st model?

The Wal-Mart in East Peoria IL. has the "PLATOON" SGT. Elias Grodin and SGT. Bob Barnes figures. I didn't see the other ones.

Ocala FL. SR 200 WM had about 3-4 of the figure 2-packs. One pack with an American "machine gunner" with a Thompson SMG and an Otto repaint. The other packs had various Germans, all in different camo smocks. What bothered me was the gigantic helmet insignia that they fixed is back again and even if the figure has a Beretta SMG he still has a KAR 98K ammo pouch belt. They look to be good army builders. The price on the peg was $5 but I don't think that was right, pretty cheap for 2 figs. I didn't have time to find someone to verify.

This is AWESOME! This is the first recon of the duel packs, right?
I agree, the price should be higher than 5.00
Thanks for the intel!

Wow my AO has something first!
If I had a camera phone I'd snap some pics. The 2-packs are definitely a cool idea.
BTW, the Germans do come with the camo cover helmet so the crappy huge decal grey helmets aren't a big deal.

No new dual packs or Platoon at WMs in Pierce Co. WA but a small surprise for me: for the first time in five years I found a singular Otto figure! WhooHoo!
I know, this is not a big deal but somehow these boys have either never made it to the good old Pacific NW or I am always a day late and a dollar short.

I bought a current edition BBD that reappeared on the shelf- the paint looks fine all around. The flimsy canopy was stuck out at a garish angle, maybe that scared the connesieurs away, anyway, it was 25.00 so what the hell; the first edition one was relegated to combat duty in my son's room.
