I like to think that in some backroom laboratory somewhere guys in white lab coats are working secretly on an A-10 for a Christmas release. You know real cloak and dagger secret stuff where clandestine meetings are being made on street corners and microfilm is being exchanged. BBI's and 21st Century Spies are everywhere and where perhaps gunplay is involved and throats are cut if the slightest bit of treason is discovered.

Sorry been watching to many James Bond Films lately.

Okay I'm going to bring all the guns to bare,

Oh God,

Please cast your favor upon us unworthy ones with the gift of an A-10 in 1/18 scale. Nay 1/72, Nay 1/48/ Nay 1/32 or the deptively large 1/24th and smithe thine enemies who oppose your will and blessing of this sacred airplane. Though they be communists, Liberal Arts majors, or those who say 1/144 is the perfect scale those Godless Heathens!

Can I get an Amen!

Okay now that we have God on our side, it should just be a matter of minutes......

Hey guys! I got an e-mail just now from one of the A-10 demo pilots. They want to get a large sized photo from me. Anything you guys would like me to ask him? Just remember I'm pretty sure he wouldn't know if an A-10 is in the works :-P

For as much stress as this is causing, maybe some of you guys should just go full scale and try to buy one of the A-10s in the boneyard down here. :D

I'd like to know how it compares manuevering at low altitude with higher preformance jets. Or if he could make a comparison between it and the SU-25 Frogfoot. Last, how much to turn one over to me...how much, really.

I think we should ask them to ask BBI or 21st to do a 1/18 scale A-10 replica for them to sell at the air shows. Mike did say that they get requests for replicas of aircraft from museums and others. Surely they would do the A-10 demo team an honor of making them one. Then they would have the tooling and all taken care of (if they don't already) and could hit the civilian mass markets with it.

Interesting, I wonder if the Museum or Company (The Air Force Museum, Smithsonian, Boeing or Gruman for example) picks up the tooling cost or does BBI do it? I would find that aspect (of BBI picking up the tooling cost) hard to believe because I don't think a museum would be able to sell enough to turn a profit. Still I wonder if the Air Force actually requested it would it be done?

I'm sure whoever requested it would have to pay the manufacturing costs. Doubt the Air Force would go for that, but it would be cool if they did.

P-51: If there is a two seat version of an A-10... perhaps this Hog driver could arrange a ride  for Roy Sutherland. A little inspiration would not hurt.
One hundred and fifty three - 1:18 scale aircraft on the ceiling looks  damn good!
