POST ALL BBI TARGET/TRU ETC FINDS HERE
The Target receipt has/should have the last day of return printed on the bottom. The ones around here do. I think that it is 60 days.dragon53 wrote:STUKA:
You posted that you bought an LAV for full price and found the LAVs on sale a few days later, so you went back to Target and got the difference in price back.
What are Target's rules for getting the price difference back? I got my FOV Abrams at full price after Thanksgiving and they were $9 cheaper after Christmas. Is there a time limit on getting the price difference back?

If the price is a SALE price, you may be able to get a price difference back.acisne wrote:The Target receipt has/should have the last day of return printed on the bottom. The ones around here do. I think that it is 60 days.dragon53 wrote:STUKA:

But if the price is red tag CLEARANCE price, Target will not give you the difference back or show you in writing where their "policy" exsists.
(no, I am not bitter about it - just peeved! )

Yeah I would like to know Stuka's method so I can use it too!dragon53 wrote:RAZOR17019:
I thought all the lower FOV prices were "clearance" prices---including the LAV bought by STUKA. If that's true, then if STUKA got his money back, can the rest of us who paid full price also get our money back?
Hopefully, STUKA can clarify to us how he got his money back.

well I don't really remember - I usually get a "we are not supposed to do this you know" and then I et the difference - maybe I was showing a little leg? But it was marked with a red tag - and I didn't have a receipt.
I was told if this happens and you have a receipt then you must return it and then repurchase it. I was also told they do not allow this practice either - but will let you do it.....
all these Target rules broken at one Target in Peachtree City GA.....

I went by Target early this morning, and I could not believe how empty the shelf was where the BBI and FOV stuff had been. Not a single BBI product there, and only a few FOV 32nd scale things left. I was hoping to find the new FOV Sherman, but no luck.

It's been a long road, but I am still in the game.

STUKA:
Thanks for the info.
I thought you were aware of a Target "low price" guarantee like Circuit City where you get the difference in price refunded if Circuit City later sells an item at a lower price.
It looks like I chalk up the $9 difference---at least I got an Abrams with few defects the day after Thanksgiving. Three days before Christmas, all the Abrams I saw had serious weathering and paint defects.

there are a few target stores here that does that "price adjustment." probably because they don't want to put it in their re-shop cart. lazy folks i guess.
but from where i live, around here gas prices are high enough that it wouldn't even make a dent if i got back at least $5 back.
my thing is that, if i find it around here, i get it. i try to hold back, unless if i knew there will be new price drops later, if and only if they have tons of these items in stock.
remember that pic that i posted awhile back? those humvees and other armors? they gone now. yeah, only a few crushed box humvees.

Regarding STUKA's refund for his LAV because of a price reduction, , here's the reply I got from Target.com:
"Thanks for your e-mail regarding our policy on price adjustments.
Target is a trend retailer that wants to provide the latest merchandise
at the lowest possible price. We're able to make adjustments on sale
merchandise if we advertise a lower price either the same week or the
week following your Target purchase.
If you're eligible to receive this service, please take your original
Target sales receipt to your Target store for an adjustment to reflect
the new Target price. We're not able to make adjustments on clearance
merchandise."

At the TRU in Cranberry, PA (north of Pittsburgh) I found BBI Corsairs marked down to a whopping $9.48. There's still one left.
On the shelf they were marked clearance and priced at $9.48, and the price checker said the same thing. But, when I checked out, the register had the planes at full price, so I had to show the employee that they were marked down to get the sale price.
The BBI Mustangs were still full price.
