NEW EXTREME METAL ANOUNCED

Post by Yoxford » Tue Jun 26, 2007 11:37 am

Unimax has just anounced their fourth release of the Forces of Valor Extreme Metal 1/16 series!!!!

Michael Wittmann’s #007 Tiger 1 together with a boxed Wittman figure and four crewmen. Expected arrival is in October.
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

Nice! I wonder if they'll do any mods on their Tiger, or do just a straight repaint...

I'd surprised if those are actually crewmembers...seeing that you really can't place those crew inside the tank...unless you disassemble it.

Now....Unimax....where's the Firefly??? :D

Firefly...only if Michael Wittman stole one and repainted it in Panzer gray!

He should have, since it's a single Firefly that killed him, and three other Tiger tanks that day.

The Tiger will be a command version and will come with the star antenna, roof antenna and starboard antenna.

The figures look great and are the classic shot of Wittmann on the barrel of the 88 with the rest of his crew posing for the picture and the fifth crewman holding the camera taking the picture...very cool.

The only bad thing is Unimax states they will not sell the figures separately this time as they did with the Piper/Tiger II figures and that this one is going to be limited to 1,800 pcs for the whole world.

Yoxford, I think you will be making those extra antenna's yourself....its probably going to be a straight repaint.

If it's just a straight repaint, what will be the errors.....muzzel break maybe??? ....anything else?

Thats what I thought before I saw the pictures and spoke with Unimax.
Yes it is a repaint, but they really did their homework as to what makes a "Befehlswagen"

They moved the placement of the jack and towing shackle on the opposite sides from the original configuration, the spare star antenna tube has been added to the rear, and there are three antennas including a star antenna.
