Wasn't expecting pics from Toy Fair this soon. No significant surprises though, was hoping to see the rumoured Hind perhaps...

US WWII figs look as good as i remember them..

Thanks for the sneakpeak graycap!

Thanks for the heads up, greycap! How about that Para with the working parachute! :D

But they are still not showing carded versions, just prototypes. I hope the WWII series isn't still only a possibility...

no p-51, no f-16 and no other stuff too...

Last year BBI didn't have much of a showing in New York......this year is a bit better but still nothing too sexy. Still, i think we can expect many good things from them this year..

I'm not impressed if that is all they are showing this year. They could be sandbagging, though..........

Great pics. Seeing all the new stuff makes me want to just go "charge it". But too bad it isn't out yet.

Those figures still look great :D As said I wish they were on cards though....then again the super humvee was in a box at the last big show but didn't appear for months after (and in a different box :? ), so you never know.
I think the Hind is literally just under way....Dirk's last dime was way in advance.
But if that's it for their WWII than you have to wonder. Maybe they're not showing their hand b/c that's pretty pathetic.... :(

Awesome figures! I especially like the fact that one has the parachute. Lots more fun possibilities with that one! All the accessories are wonderful too and really put 21c figures (including the new Marines) to shame. Lets hope we see these sooner than later. The other BBI WWII products are in mainstreme stores now.

Nice figs but was sure hoping to see some new aircraft or armor.
Some folks here mentioned a Hind. Was there a rumor of them producing
one. I sure missed that one.

F18

Post by cmelt27 » Thu Feb 17, 2005 5:36 pm

Ummm. Sure looks like the black F18 they were trying to sell at last year’s ComicCon for $200, I think it was? Only four made in the world, I was told. And it’s listed as a “new release”? Thank God, I didn’t buy it. I would be kicking myself right now. I meant, I would be kicking myself really hard right now.

I was hoping to see this guy from the Fall Toy Fair:

...but, he doesn't seem to be there. I hope this particular figure gets made. I really dig it.

here's something that was overlooked. Not sure if these guys are 1/18 but i would suspect they are....looks like they stole a page right out of 21c's book, as we saw figures like this shown by 21st at the fall toy show. They look sharp...

The WW2 figures look great! At least they'll look different from 21st's and will stand out when they are mixed together.

Good looking WWII figs. I wonder if they are considering a Spitfire MkIV (or whichever one has the 4 bladed prop and double oil coolers). It's in the pic behind the 1/6 figs. Probably just a backdrop but that would be a cool plane. It sure seems like they would make more WWII vehicles if they make those figures.

Is the New York Toy Fair going on right now? Why would they have it at the same time as the big Nuremburg Toy Fair?

You hit the nail on the head with the "sandbagging"..lol
They're holding out, and don't want to play their card too early, keeping us guessing..lol

Don't be suprised to see an F-14 and Hind by next fall<fingers croseed>.

On a seperate note, the figures are outstanding, IMHO better than 21sts in regards to overall finish.

Officially it doesn't start until Sunday and runs through Wednesday, but many companies are taking early appointments.

Heck, Hasbro's presentation for the media takes place on Saturday, the day before the show "opens".

As to why it overlaps with Nuremburg? Who knows?

BBI's pics, while retreads, are great and encouraging that we MAY see some WW2 Standard guys on pegs again. Still not nearly enough Germans for them to fight though, and that sucks royally. :(

Perhaps soon...

Anyway, Hasbro's already had a preview photo gallery up of the Episode III area, which isn't anything TOO much that hasn't been pictured at fan sites just yet, though the ARC-170 fighter's pictured. I can't tell what's to-scale and what isn't with it though... Dimensions for it have it being HUGE, but eyeballing it against the Jedi Fighters in footage says it's incredibly smaller than dimensions list. I'm gonna wait till I get a sourcebook that gives something, or clear shots of the thing are given for extrapalating my own dimensions from it.

Beyond that it's a whole lotta figures...

I'm more curious to see what G.I. Joe presents, and then what the smaller companies present. I knew what STar Wars was going with this year so I'm jonesin' for all these companies delving into 4" scaled toy lines like Palisades and Dusty Trails.
