Same story in my neck of the woods - however, my local Hobbytown store decided to finally show up Wal Mart and has gotten in a very nice variety of new 1:18 planes, a smattering of 1:18 armor, and a bunch of 1:32 aircraft

I too can confirm this as well. I have been here in Northern Calf for the past two weeks and have found nothing in the surrounding WMs in the 1/18 line other than figures!
Back in Texas, we have the Migs and F-86s but here nothing!

Looks like a dry spell for most of the WM's in my AO as well.

Well, I was suprised to see some Huffs down in Houma.

The New Orleans area is always about 3 months behind the rest of the planet.

Hopefully we will see some pak 40s and some of those P-40s that came out. I also have heard that they have some of the S-4 and S-5 104s. The new silver and tiger stripe. Bring it on.

I would aslo like a Russki Mig and the Pearl Harbor P-40s or did I say that already?

You guys say things are dry. Just try it when nothing shows up and in other parts of the country this stuff goes on sale.

Ok not another Wal-Mart rant. Were is TKO's new info?

I haven't seen any of the new 1:18 armor and PAK since January. This is in five stores mind you. The new figures were spotty but between WM and board members I was able to get the whole set. Since then they will pop up now and then and I have gotten duplicates of all the Germans and a few Americans. As for 1:18 aircraft, The two P-40s were on the shelf in one WM for less than a day. There was also a Russian Mig which also did not last long. Other than that, not planes.
32x is plentiful however, I've gotten every piece of armor I wanted along with the Priest playset. The only one I missed was the Opal blitz which was in WM around Christmas but I just picked up the Maultier. Also got the German PAK and Morter pit sets. As far a 32x aircraft go I didn't see any until a case of Bode Stukas and the white-tail Corsairs found their appeared at one WM. I snatched one of each and they are super!
As for 1:48 I have a white tail P-40 and a Bf-109. Besides the other Bf-109 I haven't seen any other 1:48 aircraft.
I just hope to see the new 32x Sherman dozer and some of the other new 32x aircraft. Other than that, I really can't complain at the moment. I'm glad I started collecting 1:32 as well as 1:18 since between 21st and FOV there is a lot of product.

My wife and I went back to the wallys on Georgesville rd here in Columbus because we hadn't been there in a while. I went to the toy isle to check for x/d and to my suprise they had the same" BoB" figs they've had for the past six months!

I still cant believe that they haven't even attempted to restock the new figs! Man, this really burns me up... You can tell that the manager of the toy section either knows absolutly nothing about toys, or just doesn't give a hoot. The other three wallys in our area seem to restock on a more regular basis, and I've been getting lucky on occasion.

Pretty much have all the new figs i want now except for the German artillary spotter, but I know that patience will pay off for this figure as well.

My last recon expedition had at least one F-86 (mostly Huffs and couple Mitch's Squitch) in almost every local WM (Benton Harbor and South Bend/Mishawaka), and a nice selection of D-Day/DAK figures in Mishawaka. Otherwise, lots of 1/32 and 1/48, but no other vehicles in 1/18.

I haven’t see vehicles or planes in a long time. Probably since Christmas. Only old peg warming figures. Its gotten so dry I don’t even go grocery shopping with my wife anymore because I know there will be nothing there, I just stay home and work on the car.

I have found only six of the new figs in the last month and a half. Other than that , the biggest Wal-Mart in town has two full pegs of the BOB Tanker and a couple of Sahara figs. At another Wal-Mart, there are a couple of Huffs, 1 Mitch's Squitch, and a small variety of the North Korean Tiger Migs. That is basically covering 9 Wal-Mart stores on a regular basis. There are no old planes and there never are any armor pieces in 1:18 anymore. I wonder if this all has something to do with the new distribution that will be going on?

I haven't seen any new planes except for the "Huff" F-86s showed up at one Walmart ONLY.. The rest still have OLD stock except for some new 32x stuff which is sporatic, but coming in slowly..

I do have a bunch of 1/32 stuff but I do not get the enjoyment out of them as I do those big nasty 1/18 vehicles of warfare and destruction.

Somehow, the effect of someone walking into your office or living room and saying "Whoa!" when they see the 1/18 stuff is what does it for me. Although watching someone squinting at the 1/144 stuff and saying "I think that driver looks like my uncle" has its mertis, too
