Looks like a small scale model to me, like 1/48 or something.

Ahh, perhaps I owe an explanation and an apology. I believe everyone here knows it's too soon in the production cycle to expect an actual example of the finished products to show up yet. I also had in mind earlier posts that had been referencing Badcats headers to have some meaning, ie the Zero, Avenger, Dauntless, and Hellcat. With that in mind what is your best guess/hope that this F-4 might mean. That's all and I apologize for adding to the general confusion that seems to happen too often in life.

Regards

If you compare the banner Phantom to the announcement poster for the Admiral F-4, you will note that it is one and the same. Don't know how far along what the announcement model was, but since the pre-pro model Admiral showed wasn't in any color, we can probably assume it was a paint master.

The BadCat header now has three F4F Wildcats. Man a Wildcat sure would be cool in 1/18th scale. :D

In Calf next week weeks

Post by warhawker » Wed Apr 25, 2007 11:11 am

Tristan,
Looks like I will be in the SanFran/Sacramento area for at least 2 weeks starting this Monday and then week at a time May/June time frame. I will be of course 'hunting' the local WMs for any new 21C products that we in Texas are missing out on.
I remember reading that the new King Tiger paint schema out I think? Do you know anything else I should know about that has been spotted there in Calf?

f-14?

Is it now a Tomcat? I don't know how much the banner means these days, at least as far as we're concerned (but I sure would love a Tomcat!).

As much as I would love for any of the big three to make my all time beloved airplane, the Tomcat, that Bad Cat header means nothing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the Tomcat featured is the 1/72 scale Century Wings model.

I was thinking it looked a lot like the FOV 1:72 F-14 with the hyper-exaggerated panel lines.

My guess is that Ray was finally able to complete a nice series of headers and has been changing them out just to add some variety to the overall page, not as a hint of things to come or anything like that.

The Wildcat is the same as the 1/72 one from Dragon as well.

Just think of the excitment if they would put Snoopy on his dog house with the scarf around his neck with gogles on as the Heading. Fun for all

I guess if he came out in 1/18 XD scale holding a Vulcan mini gun he could get some respect on top of his dog house.
