I certainly feel lucky to have got what I did.
I do not remember the wall being around the hayloft at all over the Expo.
The government building and bridge were definitely NOT given away. As I recall, 21st had special foam shipping boxes for those pieces. Those were true prototypes with no molds ever made of them so they definitely wanted to keep them and not have them damaged.
I never approached 21st about the painted prototypes I have. There were some pretty high level guys there including the CEO. I'm sure they knew what they were getting rid of. My guess is that this particular Sherman paint scheme (which is from 2nd Armored Division) was discarded for some reason. Why I don't know. I own several of the Sherman variations and this unreleased one is still my favorite.
For XD18 vets; which 21C Sherman do I have?
