Its 7:12 here in California - where's the change :? Ah well, they're probably not even at work yet and it would make sense that changes will be made later on today.

...then again, 21c promises us many great things, only to have them show up months or years later or not at all...

I have to agree.. And since 21st didn't give us a time, then we might see it by Monday, next week...

Alert!!!!
Just got off the phone with a representative of 21st whom I have spoken to on many occassions, and the new Web Site will be up later today. He said he thinks we will be able to join online. Do not leave name, email address etc., on the generic message you are getting now. I asked if the info was bogus about new website and he said NO, it will be up later.
So fellow troopers, we will have to patiently wait until later today. Thats all from here.

New 21st fan site

Post by Razor17019 » Mon Feb 07, 2005 3:03 pm

Sorry to rain on the parade today, but here is what I got from an email I sent to 21st Century for the new sign up of the NEW fan club:

Hello the fan club will be up and running by the spring or summer of this year and someone will get back to you with any information. Just wait and keep your eyes open for more info.

I want to believe this isn't true, but...

As of 2:22pm Pacific Standar Time, the new 21c Website is up!!

Signing up for the fanclub is done online and is as easy as signing onto this board!

Now for the sweet stuff - you are all going to love the F-104!!

They also have an interview with Roy Sutherland, and he seems to address us collectors. He also talks about the Zero. I can go on and on, but what has basically just happened is an information revolution for our hobby!

The site is really cool and the F-104 (which I thought I'd pass on) looks really great and now is a must have for me. I'll be interested in seeing if it really lives up to its promises.

If you are having trouble seeing the new site try typing www.21stcenturytoys.com then make sure to hit your refresh button a few times to load the new site. If you have been watching for the update today your computer may just be caching from the old version.

Heads up for AOL users-

AOL caches up stuff on their servers to make things faster for their end-users. the down side is that new sites take more time to populate initially

This link kind of
explains it http://webmaster.info.aol.com/caching.html

Some of the stuff is kind of buried - the ME-110 info comes from the Roy Sutherland interview on the fanclub site. The 1:18 products - many of which we have previously ranked under the unproduced XD category - are seen in the little scroll menu to the right when you click on the Xtreme Detail button. There's some nice pics, including some of released vehicle repaints that weren't on their old site.

I can't stop looking at that F-104 - its a really sweet aircraft, but so hard to place within any of the existing XD eras, which may determine whether or not I purchase it. I want to focus more on WWII aircraft now, with decreasing display space (exempting the proposed Mig-15 and F-86). Given that, WHERE IS THE AVENGER?!?
