Yes it was. However, I wouldn't consider that a series, though. They might have....

Good point on the series numbers... I have seen other examples of missing S numbers before from 21c. It could be that there is an S7 paint that was decided to be put on hold and that Cal Cutie was to take priority over S7. I will have to look into it when Mr. Sutherland gets back from China!

Seems like the Starfighters also have a missing S number due to the bavarian scheme being put on hold for now?

I'd like a "Marge" scheme. 8)

tko211 as much as I like the new paint scheme and I will buy one online. However an aircraft of this size would benefit with gun lockers, movable rear horizontal and vertical stabilizers along with working flaps. I hope to see this in the coming years. 8)
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

I agree that the P-38 is showing it's age a little now with it's lack of moving parts and such. It's about 5-6 years old now. But the schemes seem to keep it alive for now. perhaps 21c will rework it someday though I supose that a brand new one would be that way that they would have to do it. For now she looks plenty good enough to me that I would rather see new molds for new planes get the budget. But I do agree a P-38 with the gun access would be very cool!

TKO is there going to be an antenna mast or am I going to have to go and get one at KFC and make one myself? :D

I agree 100%, working tail feathers would not tempt me into buying another P-38.

But new paint schemes might, and I'd surely buy a Mossie.

Yeah along with a Boyington Corsair. I'm not sure if they put that program on hold or scrapped it??? I'll definitely buy this P-38. :D

The P-38 series went like this...

s1 D-Day "Wine Women & Song"
s2 Samantha Payton
s3 Putt Putt Maru
s4 Night Lightneen (prototype only, was not released) Paint was all black with red spinners.
s5 Shark "Louise"
s6 Haleakala II
s7 Pudgy V
s8 California Cutie
One hundred and fifty three - 1:18 scale aircraft on the ceiling looks  damn good!
