Wow!!!
I go away for a couple of days and WOW!!!
I've been hoping for this one for a couple of years! I know I wrote to Jason about considering the SBD.
Great aircraft!!! And I looking forward to seeing Admiral's work on it.

JimBob

I'm afraid this is my first time on this thread. But welcome to the fray, Jason and Admiral Toys! The F-86 looks fabulous and I'm impressed by the willingness of your company to correct an inaccuracy of the model. I know you are well on your way in planning your second 1:18, and I understand and respect your keeping it under wraps until you have it close to release.
I know you are getting bombarded with many good ideas for aircraft to represent. But let me get on my soapbox with my short list. And pictures are worth a thousand words!
Regards,
JimBob"

JimBob55,
This one is for you. You have been very patient and a considerable friend to our company. I have wanted to tell you personally for quite sometime that this aircraft was coming out. We were working on it when you sent those emails and posts.
In fact I was going to use JimBob55 as one of my hints in a guessing game on this aircraft. (Yes... unfortunately I do think about what hints I will give on future aircraft.)
I hope you enjoy the SBD. It will be at toy fair next week.
Regards,
Jason
Now if I can only get you hunger strikers your A-10!
Please do not read into that!!!!

I won't read into it Jason, but I feel like if anyone can, Admiral Toys could do it for sure.
Admiral Toys gives us all great hope for the future of this hobby.
Go Ugly Early in 1/18!!
Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.

So I can say that if Birddog or I, along with about 25 others on this board, end up as a clue, there is hope for an A-10?Jason of Admiral Toys wrote: (Yes... unfortunately I do think about what hints I will give on future aircraft.)

Yes! Operation Torch schemes are always welcome at my house!!
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

To Jason
Jason:
Thanks for the kind comments. I greatly appreciate Admiral for going ahead with the SBD. I know that there are many others besides me that felt the Dauntless would be worth a 1:18 version. I hope this one will be a great success for your company! I had a feeling that a 1:18 Dauntless would be offered at some time, with a strong suspicion (and hope!) that it would be Admiral.
I've got my preorder in and I'm looking forward to the different versions. I'll probably end up with all version. I'm also excited about seeing the first photos from the toy show.
Regards,
JimBob

At the museum
The Naval Aviation Museum is one of my favorite places to visit. BuNo 2016 was on view the last time I was there. They also had a great exhibit portraying the lake bottom with a Dauntless and I think a Wildcat in unrestored condition. Here's the skinny on their Dauntlesses:
