Just got off the phone with kent at MTS. This is from Admiral. This history of this a/c is incredible. It was on the Lady Lex during Pearl Harbor. Fought at Midway. Shot down at Guadicanel(sp). Recovered and went to the Great Lakes area as a training a/c, lost in the water there. Recovered later and is now at the museum at Pensacola. If I got all that right, I was too incredulous to take notes!!

Yeah, their own website shows it and kent said they were going to wait until after the toy show, but decided to go ahead and put it up anyway. He also said this is a test to see how it goes and if it goes well they're also looking at a wildcat and a "comet", not sure on the comet, but that's what it sounded like and since he was heading to a meeting I didn't have time to make sure. The only comet's that come to mind are the DH-88 racer and the airliner/maritime a/c. neither one of which I would expect to see.

Interesting... Last I knew, this was supposed to wait for Toy Fair to debut. But nice to see it is on the way!

Tempting, tempting. Although somehow, I suspect that he may have had a hand in the early announcement.

Now, next question: should we start a pool to guess how many days before 21st announces theirs?

Hot d@amn! My most wanted still unmade 18 scale plane! The Dauntless is the plane that won the battle of the Pacific. With the quality of Admiral's 262, I'm sure they'll knock this one through the roof.

PS Kent and Isaiah are straight shooters...met them at the Sun-n-Fun FlyIn in 2006. Good people.

"and maybe a wildcat and a komet"

both great choices but kind of odd to lump them together, hinging on the success of the dauntlass.

Sort of a "one of these things is not like the others" from Sesame Street. :)

I just realized, 21c doesn't show special commissions on their website. All the great stuff from Badcat and Bunnie from HA, don't show.
