Well, i got a Polacanthus. It's from a series of figures from the 'Walking with Dinosaurs' series. Most of the other figures in the series are too small to be 1/18 but the little Polacanthus was perfect. Quite a nice figure too. A bit hard to find and expensive as the company making the figures went out of business shortly after they started production, so there weren't huge numbers of them made.

So is your Polacanthus an E or a G?

That's an interesting addition Aferg! Sure is one cool-looking (armored) dino.

BTW, here's what our moderator was referring to:

Yeah it was a neat find. Just to ensure this thread has nothing to do with the 109G, here's another illustration of a Polanthus (an ealry 'C' variant actually....as in early Cretaceous Period):

Pleasanton wallmart has 4 Polacanthus/E's but still no sign of the G. Looking foreward to more stupid Polacanthus repaints. I swear this time I'm limiting myself to 1 and no repaints.

I think this is the first time I have seen a thread that actually doesn't have one post about the subject..

Any rumors heard out there on the S-2 release? This seeme to be dragging a little more that I had hoped. Maybe they're making sure the quality issue is back up to parr before they ship any more....or Wal-Mart has them all in the back under that palate of Schwinne Sting-Rays!

S1 G

Yea, I don't remember hearing too many complaints about the S1, were there many? The review I remember is best XD plane yet, hands down.

At the small retailer where I bought mine in person - selecting the best of the six they had - all were in great shape, with maybe only a very tiny amount of overspray on the cowling paint. There were none of the QC issues that existed with the Panzer IV and P-47s.

That's too bad. The only way I would purchase S1 would be at $20 clearance at WM.
I'll wait on the S2 and hope the quality is good.

109G - 109E

Post by jhogan » Thu Feb 10, 2005 9:33 am

I've seen pictures of the Galland 109E and the Hermann Graf 109G and although there are differences in the aircraft other then paint, I can't see how making the 109E/G and the P-47 "bubble top" was a good move by 21C. Discussion on the "Bubble top" moved off the front page of this outstanding forum within just a week or so after released at W-M. I guess not much interest. I feel the 109's will also receive a "ho hum" becuase of redundency with earlier releases.

I hope 21C spends effort on the release of the Avenger, F-86, Mig 15 and the F-104. All of these will be BIG hits.

I think they will (and do) sell better than what you think. I know the galland 109s sold out pretty quickly, only being beat out the door by the Kepford Corsair. The 190's on the other hand stuck around for a bit.

To me, there is definatley enough difference to make the Gustav a worthwhile purchase. The same goes for the Bubbletop P-47. I felt it looked too toyish, much like the razerback, but when boomboomjr sent one to me and I hung it up, my opinion of it really skyrocketed.

I'd rather get different versions of an aircraft than a repaint. So whatever 21st kicks out, I'll be opening my wallet, hehehehe...........

Question for any of you guys who already have the Graf ME-109-G.

Do the wing cannons/pods come off ,or are the permanent? I was thinking of breaking down and buying one and doing a Desert Afrika paint job on it?

Thanks
Scott
